Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between mauricio rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Easton Bauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Easton Bauer told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Easton Bauer! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bauer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bauer drops rua with a left right combo! Bauer follows him down to the ground into side control.
rua is rocked!
It looks like mauricio rua has been cut. Bauer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with rua. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bauer cracks rua with a big right hand but rua just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Oh rua is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Bauer lands a strong strike to the head of rua. That's dazed him! Bauer looking to finish here. rua is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Bauer lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kain blocks a head kick by Kurtenbach.
Kain missing with a left hand there. Kurtenbach was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Dayton Kain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice shot lands for Kain.
It looks like Orland Kurtenbach has been cut. Kurtenbach avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kain throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kurtenbach sees it coming and avoids it easily. Nice defenses there by Kain. The fight stays on the outside here - Kain looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The fighters circling - Kain throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kurtenbach avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kurtenbach throws a sloppy head kick and Kain moves out of range easily. Kain throws a jab but it's blocked by Kurtenbach. Kain misses with a looping left. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kain throws a head kick that misses and Kurtenbach counters with a left and a right that hurts Kain! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Kurtenbach jumps into full mount!

The referee stands the fighters back up. Orland Kurtenbach just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Kurtenbach misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kain throws a head kick that misses and Kurtenbach counters with a good low kick that Kain was not able to check. Kain scores with a nice right hand.
Kain lands with a nice combination. Kurtenbach backs away looking to recover. Kain misses with an uppercut. Kurtenbach saw that one coming. Kain looks gassed! Kurtenbach misses with a head kick.
Kain throws a lazy right hand but Kurtenbach sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kain lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kurtenbach backs up against the cage.
Kain tries for a takedown but Kurtenbach sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kurtenbach scores with a kick to the midsection. Kurtenbach lands a high kick!
Kurtenbach misses with a series of wild punches.
Kurtenbach tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kurtenbach plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kurtenbach throws a head kick that misses. Kurtenbach slips under a jab from Kain. Kain misses the jab. Kain misses with a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Kain looks to clinch and Kurtenbach counters with a nice body kick.

Kain throws a leg kick enabling Kurtenbach to counter with a crisp jab. Kain looks to throw the jab but Kurtenbach is out of range.

Kain might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. A lazy left from Kain finds it's target. Kain misses with a body shot.
Kurtenbach steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kain. Kurtenbach throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kurtenbach slips a jab from Kain. Kurtenbach avoids the body shot from Kain.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Kurtenbach prevents Kain from breaking the clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kain pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kain throws a hook to the side of Kurtenbach's head but Kurtenbach sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kurtenbach thumps Kain with a low kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kain has had enough of the clinch but Kurtenbach keeps him there for the moment. Kurtenbach breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kain throws the left hand but Kurtenbach avoids the punch easily. Kurtenbach gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Kurtenbach throws a series of punches but Kain avoids them all with ease. Kurtenbach moves in looking to clinch but Kain pushes him off. Kain misses with an uppercut. A punch lands to the side of Kurtenbach 's head but he takes it in his stride. Kain looks to score with a jab to the body but Kurtenbach is just out of range. Kurtenbach blocks a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fight moves into the clinch position. Kurtenbach pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kurtenbach misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kain dodges the punch combination from Kurtenbach.
Kurtenbach throws a sloppy head kick and Kain moves out of range easily. Kain tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kurtenbach counters with a three punch combo that has Kain backing up. Kain nods at Kurtenbach to acknowledge the strikes. Left hook, right uppercut from Kain. Orland Kurtenbach is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A head kick by Kurtenbach misses and Kain connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kain blocks a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kurtenbach drops his hands momentarily and Kain takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Kain lands the left hand. Kain throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kain throws a jab when Kurtenbach was well out of range. Kurtenbach moves into range and clinches up with Kain. Kurtenbach escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kurtenbach breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kain waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Kurtenbach. Kain is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kurtenbach. Kurtenbach closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Kurtenbach is trying to control the action in half guard but Kain is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kurtenbach tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Kain. Kurtenbach decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Kain will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kain shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kurtenbach pinned against the cage. Kurtenbach gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kain jabbing away but nothing is landing. Kurtenbach tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kain misses with a body punch
and Kurtenbach counters with a nice kick to the body. Kurtenbach takes the fight into the clinch. Kain wants to break free but Kurtenbach has control.

I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Kurtenbach closes the distance and lands a one-two. Kain misses with an uppercut. Kurtenbach saw that one coming. Kurtenbach circles away from the clinch attempt and Kurtenbach counters with a big head kick but Kain shrugs it off. A low kick from Kain misses and Kurtenbach makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Kain really felt that one! Kain misses with a double jab
and Kurtenbach holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Kain is trying to break the clinch but Kurtenbach has him pressed against the cage. Kurtenbach pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kain pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kurtenbach scores with a head kick.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kurtenbach is looking to clinch. Kurtenbach displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kain throws out the jab.

and Kurtenbach counters with a left and a right that stings Kain. Kain misses the shot to the body. Kain throws a jab but it's blocked by Kurtenbach. Kurtenbach gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Kurtenbach drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kurtenbach looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Kurtenbach throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kain makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. A cross from Kain lands. Kain blocks a head kick by Kurtenbach.

Kain throws a right and a left that Kurtenbach avoids nicely. Kain pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kurtenbach will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dayton Kain has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kain tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kurtenbach moves into the clinch. Kurtenbach breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

And that's the end of the fight! Orland Kurtenbach showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kurtenbach has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Isa manages to escape and get back to his feet.

It's a sloppy attempt though and James jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Seal is trying to control the position but James postures up. Seal working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. James doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gunn throws the left hand but Belisle avoids the punch easily. Decent striking displayed by Gunn there. Gunn misses with a few strikes there.

Gunn is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Belisle couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Spencer cracks the inside of Reed's front leg. A head kick from Spencer lands but Reed takes it in his stride. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

"I'm sorry" says Spencer. Reed manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Dylan Spencer seems to be getting the better of the standup. Spencer walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Reed with a poor takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Reed misses with a takedown and Spencer counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Reed is lucky that one didn't land flush. Spencer throws a nice outside leg kick. A head kick from Spencer lands but Reed takes it in his stride. Spencer connects with a high kick.
