The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Malarkey misses the jab. Malarkey lands a nice looking body shot.
Knuckles misses with a wild combination.
Malarkey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Knuckles pinned against the cage. Knuckles gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Malarkey throws a left that rocks Knuckles and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Malarkey dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Knuckles regain composure!

It looks like Dick Knuckles has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Malarkey is trying to get an arm triangle but Knuckles is defending well. Oh Knuckles is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Malarkey working the head with strikes. Malarkey landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Knuckles seems to have got his legs back now. Malarkey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Knuckles keeps working. Knuckles is looking to regain half guard here but Malarkey keeps moving and retains side control. Malarkey connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Knuckles some visible discomfort.
That's one minute gone in the round. Malarkey tries to move into full mount but can't pass Knuckles's legs. Malarkey scoring with punches and elbows. Malarkey throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Knuckles takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Knuckles on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Knuckles tries to get out of the position. Knuckles stops Malarkey from passing to mount. Knuckles is looking to reverse the position. Malarkey is putting a hurting on Knuckles here, landing some big shots from side control. Malarkey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Knuckles keeps working. Malarkey throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Malarkey lands some shots froms side control. Knuckles tries to get back to half guard but can't. Malarkey is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Knuckles has escaped the position, nice work there. Knuckles tries to bench press Malarkey off him but Malarkey keeps the position. Malarkey prevents Knuckles from escaping the position. Malarkey thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Knuckles is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Malarkey off and has taken his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knuckles misses with an elbow to the head. Malarkey trying to control the hands but Knuckles breaks the grip. Knuckles is trying to stick to Malarkey's back but Malarkey is turning into Knuckles. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Knuckles's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Malarkey. Malarkey postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Knuckles is trying to hold Malarkey in close to prevent damage but Malarkey has managed to pass into half guard.
Knuckles is trying to stand.
Knuckles wants to get back to full guard. Malarkey is nestled in close to Knuckles, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Malarkey has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Malarkey is thwarting Knuckles's attempts to control the position. Malarkey trying to control from half guard but Knuckles is working away. Malarkey is working for a kimura but Knuckles is defending it quite comfortably.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Knuckles is trying to get back to full guard. Malarkey lands with a punch from half guard. Malarkey is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Knuckles misses with a combination
and Malarkey counters with a stiff right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Smarky Malarkey dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dick Knuckles's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Malarkey throws a right and a left that Knuckles avoids nicely. Malarkey takes a jab right on the kisser.
Knuckles misses with a hook. Malarkey ducked under it nicely. Knuckles throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Malarkey sees it coming and avoids it easily. Malarkey slips a jab from Knuckles. Malarkey ducks right into an uppercut from Knuckles.
Malarkey is rocked! Knuckles circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Malarkey to the canvas! Malarkey doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Knuckles keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gabel throws an elbow from mount that misses. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wu. Wu connects with a right hand. Flagstaff shakes it off. Wu throws a head kick but Flagstaff moves out of range.
Wu throws a head kick that misses. Wu cracks the inside of Flagstaff's front leg. Flagstaff slips under a jab. Flagstaff instigates a clinch. Wu tries to land a knee to the head but Flagstaff blocks with his arms.

Perry ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kilo misses with a wild body shot. Perry takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Perry fails with the takedown. Perry plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Foxtrot Kilo has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Perry throws a hook but Kilo blocks it. Kilo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kilo showed some decent athleticism there. Perry trying to control but Kilo postures up.
Kilo is trying to control the action in half guard but Perry is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perry trying to hold on to Kilo's head to control him but Kilo postures up.

Kilo is figuring out what he wants to do next. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Perry is not content to let Kilo control the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kilo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Perry lands a nice looking kick to the body. Kilo takes a step back to recover. Kilo is breathing heavily. Perry throws a quick inside leg kick. Perry lands a head kick that stumbles Kilo and the fighters go to the mat.
Foxtrot Kilo's cut is getting worse. Perry is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Perry wants to stand but Kilo is controlling his posture from full guard. Perry is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perry wants to control from the top but Kilo keeps moving. Perry slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Kilo is looking for a sweep. Perry is looking to take a break and control but Kilo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kilo struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Perry wants to stand but Kilo is controlling his arm. Perry misses with the ground and pound. Kilo is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Perry's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The fighters are battling for position here. Kilo manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kilo is working an open guard so Perry takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murphy connects with a right hand. Yoshida shakes it off.
It looks like Ken Yoshida has been cut. Murphy misses with a double jab.
Murphy throws a right and a left that both miss. Yoshida avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Murphy crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Yoshida - the referee stops the clock and Murphy gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Yoshida. Murphy manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Yoshida scores with a jab to the body. Yoshida throws a right hand that Murphy ducks under and follows up with a left that Murphy also avoids with ease. Yoshida throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Yoshida throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Murphy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Yoshida moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nice uppercut lands for Murphy. That snapped Yoshida's head back.

Yoshida closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Murphy to the mat! Murphy manages to get full guard. Murphy working for a triangle but Yoshida defends it easily.
Yoshida drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yoshida jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Yoshida's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Yoshida trying to control the position from guard on top but Murphy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Murphy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Yoshida controls the pace. Murphy working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Yoshida. Murphy keeping full guard, as Yoshida tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Yoshida controls from within his opponent's guard. Yoshida trying to control the position from guard on top but Murphy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Yoshida darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Murphy wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murphy is staying active underneath Yoshida, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Yoshida is working for an americana but Murphy has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Yoshida was thinking about the submission. Yoshida missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Yoshida preventing the sweep. Murphy keeping moving, preventing Yoshida from controlling successfully.

Yoshida drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Murphy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Yoshida has Murphy in his guard. Murphy trying to control but Yoshida is working from the bottom. Murphy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Yoshida looking for subs off his back but Murphy has passed one foot through into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Ken Yoshida will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ken Yoshida's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Yoshida feints and then cracks Murphy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Murphy down. Yoshida decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Murphy is breathing heavily. Yoshida wants to work for an arm triangle but Murphy is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yankee blocks a jab. Mughes throws a lazy right hand but Yankee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Yankee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mughes paws at him with a jab and circles away. Yankee slips under a jab. Yankee throws a body punch but Mughes moves out of range. Yankee throws a head kick but Mughes moves out of range.
Mughes changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Yankee looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Mughes working the strikes but Yankee uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Mughes winds up and cracks Yankee with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Yankee wants to improve his position but Mughes is controlling well.
Yankee won't allow Mughes to pass to mount. Mughes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mughes doesn't succeed with the takedown and Yankee counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Yankee looks at the referee who does nothing so Yankee lands a crushing right that sends Mughes to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
