The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grogan drives through with a takedown into guard.

Valentine escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Grogan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Valentine looking to control.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Valentine looking for a guillotine here but Grogan defends easily.

Valentine is looking for a triangle but Grogan pushes his legs off easily.
Grogan trying to stand up but can't free himself from Valentine's guard.
Grogan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Valentine keeping moving, preventing Grogan from controlling successfully.

Valentine is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Grogan has his hands clasped together around Valentine's back. He's all about the action.

Grogan misses with a takedown attempt - Valentine sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Valentine tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Grogan is able to avoid easily.

Valentine is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Grogan can't fight it off and eventually Valentine manages to take the fight to the floor. Grogan looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Valentine sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Grogan's guard.

Valentine throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Grogan is in trouble now - Valentine has advanced to mount!
Valentine fails to move to back control.
Valentine can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Grogan is looking to escape.

Valentine looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Grogan tries to hold on but Valentine postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grogan fails to land with a series of punches.
Grogan tries to clinch but Valentine is having none of it.
Valentine keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Grogan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Grogan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Grogan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Valentine is looking to escape.
Grogan wants to get back to his feet but Valentine is holding on tight.

Grogan wants to finish this one by submission but Valentine is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Grogan.

Valentine is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Grogan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Grogan tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Valentine is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Grogan is trying to break free.

Valentine is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Grogan with him. Grogan is trying to defend but Valentine has an arm under the chin now! Grogan grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Kalishevski throws a nice looking combination but Kozminsk bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kalishevski jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kalishevski throws a sloppy head kick and Kozminsk moves out of range easily.
Kalishevski dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kalishevski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kozminsk.
Kalishevski throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Kozminsk.

It looks like Piotr Kozminsk has been cut.
Kozminsk will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kozminsk looks gassed!
Kozminsk shoots in for a double leg but Kalishevski sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ivan Kalishevski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Piotr Kozminsk.

BOOM! Kalishevski lands a beautiful left hook that drops Kozminsk. Kozminsk tries to recover but Kalishevski is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Kozminsk lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
