Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yanni Yanster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronny Cykelstyre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ronny Cykelstyre was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Yanster or perhaps it was just good defense by Cykelstyre which made him look bad.
Yanster throws a big shot that misses.

Yanster closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cory Araujo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomes has chosen Juelz Santana - Murda Murda as his entrance music. Cory Araujo had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 267.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anthony Arealius!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brenno Penna!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penna gets a takedown into half guard.

Penna is looking for a kimura but Arealius is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Penna to get the leverage.

Penna is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Arealius has managed to free his arm - good work.

Arealius kicks off Penna and gets to his feet.
Brenno Penna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Penna fails to land the takedown.
Penna closes this distance looking for a takedown but Arealius circles away.

Arealius darts in and clinches Penna up against the ropes.

Arealius's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Penna fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Anthony Arealius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brenno Penna.
Penna takes a kick to the side of the head.
Penna looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Arealius closes the distance and clinches.
Penna tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Arealius smiles and moves away.
Arealius stuffs the takedown attempt from Penna. Penna gets slowly back to his feet.
Penna fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Arealius lunges at Penna with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Penna's hand.
A head kick from Arealius lands but Penna takes it in his stride.
Arealius lands a body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Arealius connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Arealius connects with a nice cross there... Penna is looking wobbly and Arealius recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Penna to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Arealius jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Anthony Arealius!
