Maya throws a shot from downtown. Houghtinho moves away and avoids it. Maya looks to throw the jab but Houghtinho is out of range. Maya throws an overhand right that lands on Houghtinho's shoulder, as Houghtinho tries to avoid the shot. Maya throws a lazy right hand but Houghtinho sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Maya looks to land a right hand but Houghtinho moved out of range. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abernethy looks to land a right hand but Quagmaier moved out of range. Abernethy looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Quagmaier scores a takedown into full mount! Quagmaier has control of Abernethy's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Abernethy regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Abernethy has left one of his arms exposed and Quagmaier doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Abernethy screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
