The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Liddell's waist but Liddell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Junior off to one side.
Junior shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Liddell but Liddell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Liddell lands a nice leg kick that just misses Junior's sensitive parts.
Liddell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Liddell lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like John Junior has been cut.
Junior stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Liddell.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Junior.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Liddell pushes Junior away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Junior gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Junior advances to mount.

Junior looking to isolate an arm here. Liddell doesn't see it coming and as Junior extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Junior!

Habanero throws a series of punches but Grabowski avoids them all with ease.
Habanero throws a hook but Grabowski avoids it easily.
No joy there for Habanero, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Habanero drops Grabowski with a straight right hand, right on the button! Habanero follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Habanero blocks a head kick by CroCop.
Habanero takes a kick to the side of the head.

A head kick lands from CroCop that sends Habanero to the canvas. Habanero tries to scramble back to his feet but CroCop brings him back down into side control.

Habanero is looking for a sweep.
Oh Habanero is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Habanero is working hard here to advance position.
Habanero looks to move to half guard but instead CroCop has passed into mount! Damn!
Habanero is squirming around, avoiding CroCop's attempts to control the action.

Habanero is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Habanero looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks CroCop with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Barkley fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Barkley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Safra circles away.
Barkley closes the distance and clinches up with Safra, looking for a takedown. Barkley pushes Safra against the cage but Safra circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Barkley. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Barkley tries to keep at a distance but Safra has taken the fight into the clinch.

Barkley gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Safra regains guard.

Barkley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barkley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
