The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Allman takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. bongo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Allman swats him away and circles back towards the center. bongo jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Left hook, right uppercut from bongo. Allman tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and bongo is able to avoid easily. bongo lands a nice looking body kick. bingo bongo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. bongo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Allman. bongo misses with an attempted mid kick.
Allman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around bongo's waist but bongo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Allman off to one side. Allman closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. The fight stays on the outside here - bongo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Allman tries for a takedown but bongo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Allman ducks right into an uppercut from bongo. Allman takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. bongo is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Allman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with bongo but bongo pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Guido Allman. That's going to take a lot out of him. bongo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Allman's head backwards.

He's got hold of a leg but bongo swivels and escapes. The fight stays on the outside here - bongo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Allman with shots to the head and body - bongo looks very uncomfortable down there. Allman is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! bongo is forced to tap! Great finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cheliouze keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cheliouze has a takedown stuffed. Excellent takedown into side control there by Brasil. Brasil tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brasil has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Cheliouze manages to get back to half guard. Cheliouze won't allow Brasil to pass to mount. Cheliouze trying to control from the bottom.

Brasil thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cheliouze's head. Cheliouze has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brasil is working away from the top position though. Brasil seems to be working for a kimura but Cheliouze defends the submission attempt. Brasil is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cheliouze defends it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Cheliouze tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Brasil wants to advance to full mount but Cheliouze doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Cheliouze avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Cheliouze tries to clinch but fails miserably and Brasil counters with a series of strikes. Cheliouze will be more careful next time no doubt. Cheliouze closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cheliouze lands in his opponent's guard. Cheliouze is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brasil is looking to sinch up a triangle. Cheliouze throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Brasil's body to avoid the submission. Brasil has instead reached around Cheliouze's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Brasil arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bates moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bates tries to clinch but Johnson is having none of it. Johnson just misses with a punch to the body.
Johnson lands with a hook. Bates tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Johnson drives through with a takedown into guard. Bates wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Bates controls Johnson momentarily but Johnson frees himself. Bates is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bates manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
