0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michi Kitty! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff make you deaf! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kitty takes a kick to the side of the head. make you deaf feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. make you deaf thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. make you deaf stopping the sweep attempt from Kitty. Kitty will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. make you deaf slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kitty misses with a strike from the bottom. make you deaf trying to control the position but Kitty is working away.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. make you deaf shoots in and drives through. Kitty sprawls well. Jab, jab by Kitty - just one landing. Kitty misses with a looping left. make you deaf scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! make you deaf wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kitty keeps working. Kitty could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Kitty manages to get back to half guard. make you deaf looks gassed!

Kitty is looking for a sweep. make you deaf is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. make you deaf wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kitty keeps working.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Kitty misses with a takedown attempt and make you deaf counters with a single leg into guard. Kitty didn't expect that. make you deaf is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kitty trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Kitty throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Not on purpose obviously - he just missed make you deaf's head. make you deaf actively working from the bottom here. make you deaf won't allow Kitty to pass to mount.

Kitty changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. make you deaf tries to avoid it but Kitty manages to keep hold of a leg and drag make you deaf to the ground. make you deaf escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. make you deaf rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kitty moves out of range and avoids them all easily. make you deaf takes one on the button. Michi Kitty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kitty stuffs the takedown. Kitty shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kitty showed some decent athleticism there. make you deaf has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kitty is working away from the top position though. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sho lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Sho works over Best's head and body with a nice combination. Sho tries to clinch but Best moves out of range. Best throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sho moves out of range of the body kick. Best takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Best shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sho pinned against the cage. Sho gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sho gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Best counters with a body kick that stops Sho in his tracks momentarily. Some bone on bone action there as Sho checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Best throws a combination that misses and Sho counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sho. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Best keeping moving, preventing Sho from controlling successfully. Sho won't allow Best to sweep him here. Best controls Sho momentarily but Sho frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Best is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sho is controlling him. Sho controls from within his opponent's guard. Sho trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Best is looking to clinch. Sho misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Sho lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Best tries to lock up and control but Sho gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Best is in all sorts of trouble here.

That was a close round but I would say that Hiro Sho will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sho has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Best avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Best breaks the clinch.

Best looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Best wants to get back to his feet but Sho is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Sho trying to control but Best is working from the bottom. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Best is on top in guard.
Best would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Best wants to control from the top but Sho keeps moving. Sho preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Best looking to sit in guard and control but Sho gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Best trying to control the position.
Sho stops Best from standing up.
