The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mica shoots in for a takedown but Barnes shows good takedown defense. Excellent takedown into side control there by Mica. Mica tries to advance to mount but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Barnes's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Barnes defending against the ground and pound. Mica looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Barnes prevents Mica from moving into mount. Barnes is looking for a sweep. Barnes is trying to control Mica's posture but Mica avoids it. Mica has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Barnes is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Mica yanks on the arm and Barnes is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Morris follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
