The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Polinsky paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Popov pushes Polinsky up against the cage in a clinch.

Popov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Popov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Popov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Polinsky stands and throws Popov's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Polinsky is trying to get an arm triangle but Popov is defending well.
Polinsky is looking to take a break and control but Popov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Popov tries to clinch but Polinsky is having none of it.

Popov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Popov isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Polinsky stacks Popov on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Polinsky!

Polinsky could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Popov explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Popov crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Polinsky - the referee stops the clock and Popov gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Polinsky. Popov manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Flop just misses with a punch to the body.
Lincoln Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flop looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Thomas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Flop paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Thomas throws a nice looking combination but Flop bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown but Flop shows good takedown defense.
Flop circles away from the clinch attempt.
Thomas connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Flop! He's out on his feet! Thomas rushes in and drops Flop with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Jackson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
McGee swats away the attempt to clinch by Jackson.
McGee misses with a hook. Jackson ducked under it nicely.
Jackson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McGee thuds a left hand into Jackson's body.
McGee misses with a wild body shot.
McGee throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McGee moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McGee drops Jackson with a beautiful combination! Jackson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - McGee is looking for the KO!

Brushnikov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
No joy there for Deal, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Deal thows a body shot but no joy.
Brushnikov shoots in looking for a takedown. Deal tries to sprawl out of it but Brushnikov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Deal manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Deal tries a low kick but Brushnikov avoids it.
