Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leopold Stotch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dick Kidd! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stotch throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kidd showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Stotch.
Kidd takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Kidd defending well as Stotch loads up on a big left hand. Stotch scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Stotch fails with the takedown. Stotch throws a series of punches but Kidd avoids them all with ease. Stotch connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kidd momentarily.
Stotch clobbers Kidd with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Stotch misses with a hook. Kidd ducked under it nicely. Stotch swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Kidd shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stotch but Stotch pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kidd keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Stotch misses with a takedown and Kidd counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Stotch thinking. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leopold Stotch. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kidd connects with a high kick. Stotch throws a hook but Kidd blocks it. Stotch throws a leg kick and Kidd makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Stotch really felt that one! Kidd lands with a nice combination. Stotch backs away looking to recover. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kidd goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Stotch is fighting it off but Kidd persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Stotch's guard against the cage. Stotch is striking off his back. Kidd thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Kidd tries to pass to full mount but Stotch defends it. Stotch trying to control here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kidd not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Stotch actively working from the bottom here. Stotch flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

and Kidd counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Kidd pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Stotch darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Stotch is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kidd defends it well. Stotch thows a huge punch but Kidd dodges it nicely.

Stotch misses with a takedown and Kidd counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Kidd is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Stotch. Nice sprawl there from Kidd as Stotch shoots in. Kidd scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Kidd throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. A jab from Stotch misses. Kidd keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leopold Stotch. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stotch tries to keep at a distance but Kidd has taken the fight into the clinch. Stotch misses with the head strike.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Leopold Stotch. I think Kidd has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Duncan Rogers! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pitch scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Duncan Rogers has been cut. Rogers looks to score with a jab to the body but Pitch is just out of range. Rogers throws a leg kick but Pitch sees it coming and moves out of range. No luck for Pitch with that takedown attempt. Rogers avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pitch shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Pitch shoots for a takedown but Rogers saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitch Pitch. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pitch closes the distance and clinches up with Rogers, looking for a takedown. Pitch pushes Rogers against the cage but Rogers circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rogers waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Pitch. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Pitch to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

It looks like Mitch Pitch has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rogers wanted to stand there but Pitch had control of the position. Rogers decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pitch, up you get! Pitch throws a looping overhand right but Rogers ducks down to avoid it. Rogers drops Pitch with a nice combination! Rogers dives into Pitch's guard, looking to finish!
Oh Pitch is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Pitch is breathing heavily. Rogers gets to his feet - Pitch follows without any prompting. Pitch seems to have got his legs back now. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Pitch. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Pitch tries to bum rush Rogers with a series of wild strikes but Rogers uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rogers ducks under a wild hook from Pitch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers cracks Pitch with a hook to the temple - Pitch is on wobbly legs here! Rogers swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Pitch falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Rogers wins by TKO!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Sanchez misses. Tacos throws a jab when Sanchez was well out of range. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but Tacos shows good takedown defense. Sanchez drops his hands momentarily and Tacos takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Tacos throws a front kick that sends Sanchez stumbling back into the cage. Tacos chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Sanchez takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sanchez looks gassed! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tacos throws a shot to the body.
Tacos thuds his shin into the meat of Sanchez's side. Tacos tests Sanchez's chin there with a solid looking shot. A left lands for Tacos. Tacos works the jab nicely. A nice combination there by Tacos.
Tacos knocks Sanchez to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
Sanchez is rocked! Sanchez is working to avoid the ground and pound but Tacos connects with a decent elbow. Sanchez is still in real trouble! Can Tacos finish him? Tacos lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Sanchez seems to have recovered his senses. Tacos creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sanchez sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tacos scoring with punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tacos slows the pace down. Tacos throws an elbow but Sanchez slips to the side and avoids it well. Tacos in side control lands a decent elbow. Sanchez dodges the ground and pound from Tacos. Tacos misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Tacos scoring with punches from side control. Tacos tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tacos has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The strikes coming from Tacos are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Sanchez defending against the ground and pound. Tacos is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Sanchez is trying to escape and Tacos transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Sanchez is forced to tap! Nice work there by Tacos! Very nice indeed!
