On his way into the cage it seems that Chris Porter has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Chris Porter seems to be OK! 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mick Lenny! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slapping body kick lands there for Porter. Porter misses with a low kick. Lenny misses with a two punch combination.
Porter shoots in for a takedown but Lenny shows good takedown defense. Porter shoots for a double leg takedown but Lenny sprawls well. He's pushed Porter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Porter throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Mick Lenny has been cut. Lenny throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Porter. Porter misses with a low kick.
Porter tries for a takedown but Lenny sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Porter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Porter shoots for a takedown but Lenny saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A telegraphed right hand from Lenny misses the target. Lenny throws a right and a left that Porter avoids nicely. A swing and a miss from Lenny.
That's one minute gone in the round. A kick lands to the mid section there for Porter. Mick Lenny seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lenny cracks Porter with a good jab. Porter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lenny's waist but Lenny gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Porter off to one side. Lenny lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Porter circles away quickly and effectively. Lenny throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Porter. Porter takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Lenny throws a lazy right hand but Porter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Porter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Porter tries to clinch but Lenny is having none of it. Lenny displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Chris Porter has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lenny moves out of range as Porter strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Porter shoots in for a takedown but Lenny shows good takedown defense. Porter is breathing heavily. Lenny steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Porter. Lenny stalks Porter and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Porter's face. Porter staggers backwards, shaken. Lenny lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Porter sprawling to the canvas. Lenny follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Porter hang on?
Porter is rocked! Lenny with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Porter is looking to improve his position.
Lenny wants to stand but Porter has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Porter manages to get to full guard.
Porter wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lenny has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Porter to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Lenny is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Porter pulls down on the head and he's put Lenny to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zola keeps the fight on the outside. Dynamite tries to clinch but Zola is having none of it. Dynamite fails with a takedown attempt. Zola throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Horrible takedown by Dynamite or perhaps it was just good defense by Zola which made him look bad. Zola swats away the attempt to clinch by Dynamite. Dynamite really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Zola throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Zola misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dynamite tries to clinch there but Zola circles away.
Zola throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dynamite. Zola decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dynamite keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dynamite is trying to stand.
Zola uses his free foot to push down on Dynamite's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dynamite. Zola wants to take Dynamite's back but he can't do it this time. Zola with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Zola is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dynamite can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Dynamite tries to lock up and control but Zola gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Dynamite can't escape the position.

Dynamite is breathing heavily. Zola has control of Dynamite's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dynamite regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Zola scores with punches from the back.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Windfather misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McGrath.
Windfather shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Windfather throwing strikes but missing. Windfather wants to stand and escape but instead McGrath has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Windfather wants to sweep here but McGrath controlling him for the moment. Windfather is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. McGrath is looking to control Windfather's arms but Windfather gets an underhook and turns him. Now McGrath has his back to the cage. McGrath is pressed up against the cage. Windfather has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McGrath down to the mat. McGrath avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. A head kick misses from McGrath. Windfather shoots for a double leg takedown but McGrath sprawls well. He's pushed Windfather's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Windfather takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Oh no, disaster for Windfather there! Windfather bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Windfather decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McGrath, up you get! McGrath shoots and misses and Windfather counters with a takedown into side control. McGrath is looking for a sweep. Windfather creates some space and throws a big elbow, but McGrath sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Windfather lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The strikes coming from Windfather are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Windfather remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Windfather stands up and we're back to a striking position. McGrath gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Windfather counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for McGrath! McGrath is in all sorts of trouble here.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Windfather prevents McGrath from getting the reversal. Windfather looking to finish McGrath with some ground and pound. This is bad for McGrath! McGrath is breathing heavily. Windfather connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Windfather swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and McGrath is now in Windfather's guard. A big mistake from Windfather there, giving up the dominant position! Windfather punching from the bottom - just letting McGrath know he's still in a fight. McGrath preventing the sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Windfather will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Windfather looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Windfather trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Windfather pulls McGrath in close to prevent any damage. Windfather keeping moving, preventing McGrath from controlling successfully. He's hooked one of McGrath's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McGrath's back! Windfather struggling to keep hold of the position.
Can McGrath hold on?! Windfather is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Windfather missing with strikes from the back. McGrath grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. McGrath wants to control his opponent's hands but Windfather gets his hands free. Windfather trying to control momentarily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee closes this distance looking for a takedown but Serra circles away. Serra drives through with a takedown into guard. Lee throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Serra escapes and throws Lee's legs to the side, diving into side control! Lee is looking to regain half guard here but Serra keeps moving and retains side control. Serra trying to control the action but Lee is working from the bottom. Serra working the body and head with strikes. Lee is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Lee is working hard here to advance position. Lee sneaks back into half guard. Serra is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Lee is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Serra pulls his head out easily. Serra wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working. Lee tries to roll over but Serra keeps him under control. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Serra connects with a nice short shot to Lee's temple. Serra decides to stand up. Serra shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Serra showed some decent athleticism there. Serra is taking a breather. Lee says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Serra sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lee defending well though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee works his way to full guard. Good work. Serra passes easily into side control. Nice work. Serra in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Serra looks gassed! Lee looks to move to half guard but instead Serra has passed into mount! Damn! Lee tries to reverse the position but Serra maintains control. The referee warns Lee that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Serra lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Serra landing strikes from the mount and Lee is in trouble! Lee is trying desperately to improve position. Serra trying to control but he's not successful this time. Serra is going olschool here, as he tries to force Lee to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lee shrugs it off. Lee is working to get back to half guard.

Matt Serra dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Nice takedown defense from Lee. No joy for Serra on that attempt. Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Serra circles away quickly and effectively. Lee closes the distance and clinches up with Serra, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes Serra against the cage but Serra circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lee with a lazy takedown attempt and Serra counters with a single leg into guard. Lee didn't expect that. Lee keeping moving, preventing Serra from controlling successfully. Lee pushes a forearm under Serra's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Serra is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Fox throws a right hand that Reyes ducks under and follows up with a left that Reyes also avoids with ease. Reyes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Reyes shoots in looking for a takedown. Fox tries to sprawl out of it but Reyes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fox manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Fox throws a big shot that misses. Fox slips a jab and a cross from Reyes.
Reyes drives through with a takedown into guard. Reyes is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Reyes throwing strikes but missing. Reyes makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Reyes wants to pass the guard but Fox is keeping the position.

Burkhart takes a swing at Gonzalez's ribcage but misses. Gonzalez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Burkhart counters with a stiff right hand. Gonzalez on the wrong end of a nice hook. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gonzalez is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Burkhart. Glenardo Gonzalez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gonzalez thows a left - swing and a miss! Burkhart lands a head shot.

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stretch Armstrong! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dayne throws out a loose jab but Armstrong uses good head movement to avoid it. Armstrong scores with a one two! Dayne had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Arthur Dayne has been cut. Dayne misses with a few strikes there.
Armstrong shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dayne's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dayne wants to hit a switch here but Armstrong passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Dayne there! Armstrong goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Dayne is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dayne trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Armstrong wants to hit a switch here but Dayne passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Armstrong there! Dayne trying to control but he's not successful this time. Dayne takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Armstrong is bucking up trying to escape but Dayne cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Armstrong tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dayne controlling from the full mount. Dayne prevents Armstrong from getting the reversal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dayne in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Dayne has hold of Armstrong's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Armstrong manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
A nice elbow there by Dayne. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Armstrong flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Dayne tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Armstrong is looking to get to half guard. Armstrong sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Armstrong looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Dayne is taking a breather. Armstrong says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Armstrong is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Armstrong looks gassed! Dayne moves nicely into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Armstrong is looking for a sweep. Dayne stands up. Dayne rushes Armstrong with punches - Armstrong moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Armstrong goes down! Dayne follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
