The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nose misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Scott fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Scott is looking to clinch.
Scott closes the distance and clinches up with Nose, looking for a takedown. Scott pushes Nose against the cage but Nose circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Scott has had enough of the clinch but Nose keeps him there for the moment.
Nose lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Scott backwards.

Khomeini feints and as Champion raises his hands in defense, Khomeini changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Champion controls Khomeini momentarily but Khomeini frees himself.

Khomeini drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Champion dives on top into guard.
Champion stands and throws Khomeini's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Champion tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Champion has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Champion is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Champion has hold of Khomeini's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Khomeini seems comfortable defending it but Champion has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Khomeini is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Khomeini is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Champion couldn't care less - he's delighted!
