Kilmer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Vespa content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Kilmer has locked up a guillotine! Kilmer's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Vespa is holding on here and Kilmer must be using up a lot of energy. Vespa has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Kilmer gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mui Thai! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thai misses with an uppercut. William keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Thai tries to clinch but William moves out of range. Thai throws an overhand right that lands on William's shoulder, as William tries to avoid the shot. Thai tries to clinch but William moves out of range. Thai slips a jab and a cross from William.
Thai on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by William. William obviously looking to wear him down.
Thai throws a combination that misses and William counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. William circles away from the clinch attempt and William counters with a nice uppercut.
 It looks like Mui Thai has been cut. Thai looks gassed! Jab by Thai. This has been an exciting period of action! A slapping leg kick lands for William.
William connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. William throws a wild combination but nothing lands. William lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Thai sprawling to the canvas. William follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Thai hang on?
 Thai is rocked! William keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Thai wants to improve his position but William is controlling well.
 That's one minute gone in the round. William is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. William is trying to control the action in half guard but Thai is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
William is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Thai has managed to free his arm - good work. William looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Thai with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. William not doing much here.
Thai is staying active underneath William, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
 The referee stands the fighters back up. Willis William just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. William uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Thai has time to react. William digs a good hook to Thai's body.
William throws a one two combo.
 That has opened up Mui Thai's cut even more. William throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. William lands with a shot to the body.
William has taken the fight to the clinch.
William turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Thai gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. William controlling from mount.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
William has control of Thai's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Thai regains control of the situation pretty easily.
William working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. William wants to control the pace but Thai is squirming around nicely. William postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Thai looks a forlorn figure.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. William working away from the top, dropping strikes.
William working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
William working for a guillotine from mount but Thai is in no mood to give up. Thai is trying desperately to improve position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! William with a couple of short strikes. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Willis William dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mui Thai's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Jab, jab by Thai - just one landing. Thai shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and William makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Thai really felt that one! William scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Nice combo by William! Oh, that's hurt him - Thai falls to the canvas and William follows him into side control. Thai is still in real trouble! Can William finish him? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Thai throws a few strikes from the bottom but William takes advantage and mounts! William controlling from the full mount. Thai seems to have recovered his senses. William blocks Thai's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. William looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
 The cut above Mui Thai's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Thai is breathing heavily. Thai is working to get back to half guard.
William with a couple of short strikes.
 Mui Thai's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mui Thai's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Nice work from Garmany! del Coto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hawk lands a head kick that stumbles Adams and the fighters go to the mat.
 It looks like Brian Adams has been cut. Hawk throwing strikes but missing. Hawk throws a big right hand that misses. Hawk working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Adams's head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Adams tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hawk content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
 Adams is rocked! Hawk arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Adams's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aguera fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Aguera looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Aguera gets caught flat footed, as Stack shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Stack looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stack chips away with some ground and pound.
Stack drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stack jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Aguera has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stack can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Stack loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Stack with a flurry of punches that miss. Stack postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Stack is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Aguera has momentary wrist control but Stack slips an elbow through the middle.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Stack throws a big right hand that misses.
 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Aguera gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Stack counters with a lovely straight right hand! Stack is looking to clinch but Aguera is avoiding it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stack connects with a nice short shot to Aguera's temple. Stack drops an elbow to the side of Aguera's head.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Strong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sterjn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sterjn feints and as Strong raises his hands in defense, Sterjn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sterjn gets to his feet - Strong follows without any prompting. Strong stuffs the takedown attempt from Sterjn. Sterjn gets slowly back to his feet. Sterjn misses with a takedown attempt - Strong sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Strong connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sterjn. Sterjn circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
 It looks like Youryn Sterjn has been cut. Sterjn wants to clinch up but Strong keeps it at a distance.
Sterjn gets a takedown into half guard. Sterjn moves nicely into side control. Strong manages to work his way to half guard, despite Sterjn's best efforts. Strong punching from the bottom.
Sterjn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Strong's head. Sterjn tries to pass the half guard into mount. Strong knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Strong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sterjn thows a huge punch but Strong dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Sterjn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Sterjn trying to pass the guard but Strong defending well. Strong is trying to stand up here but Sterjn is controlling him well.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. No luck for Sterjn with that takedown attempt. Retard Strong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Youryn Sterjn. Strong stuffs the takedown. Youryn Sterjn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sterjn looks gassed! Strong has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Sterjn. Sterjn is looking to clinch but Strong is avoiding it.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Strong lands the left hand.
 That has opened up Youryn Sterjn's cut even more. Strong misses with a few strikes there.

Crunch! Strong slams his shin into Sterjn's torso. Sterjn looks for a takedown but Strong sprawls well. Strong throws a one two combo.
 The cut above Youryn Sterjn's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Sterjn fails with a takedown attempt. Strong lands a jab-cross combination. Sterjn misses with a takedown attempt - Strong sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Sterjn gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Strong throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Sterjn lets loose with a powerful body kick. Strong will feel that in the morning. Sterjn moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Sterjn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Strong circles away. Strong throws a right and a left that both miss. Retard Strong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Good leg kick by Sterjn there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Sterjn throws a lazy head kick enabling Strong to counter with a crisp jab. Strong looks to land a combination but Sterjn avoids it well. Strong throws a series of punches but Sterjn moves out of range. Strong stuffs the takedown attempt from Sterjn. Sterjn gets slowly back to his feet. Sterjn tries to clinch but Strong is having none of it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sterjn takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Sterjn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sterjn slips a jab and a cross from Strong.

Strong slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Strong lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sterjn closes the distance looking to clinch and Strong counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Sterjn throws a lazy head kick and Strong counters with a body kick that stops Sterjn in his tracks momentarily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Strong scores with a body shot.
Strong stalks Sterjn and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sterjn's face. Sterjn staggers backwards, shaken.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Youryn Sterjn's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rua fails with a takedown attempt. knock out seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. out throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
out swings for the body but Rua moves out of range.
out throws a big shot that misses. Rua steps to the side to avoid the strikes from out.
Rua shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. out looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rua is one step ahead there. Rua wants to control from the top but out keeps moving. Rua works a leg free and moves into half guard. out really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rua. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rua is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so out is just riding it out for now. Rua eventually gives up the hold. Rua looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if out can do anything to dispel that myth. Rua trying to mount his opponent but out defends it.
Rua is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so out is just riding it out for now. Rua eventually gives up the hold.
Rua is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and out defends it well. out tries to roll over but Rua keeps him under control.

 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. out is looking to score with low kicks. out swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

out ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rua moves away. out throws a head kick but Rua moves out of range.

out looks gassed! out looks to throw the jab but Rua is out of range. Rua shoots in but out avoids the takedown attempt easily. out lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rua circles away quickly and effectively. Rua avoids a lazy jab quite easily. out thuds a left hand into Rua's body. knock out is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. out misses the jab. out missing with a left hand there. Rua was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. out closes the distance and lands a one-two. Rua shoots for a takedown but out saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabricio Rua. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rua slips a jab from out. out misses with a leg kick. Nice takedown defense from out. No joy for Rua on that attempt. out tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rua was well out of range. Poor timing from out. out throws a jab when Rua was well out of range. out swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rua shoots in for a takedown but out shows good takedown defense. Rua changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. out tries to avoid it but Rua manages to keep hold of a leg and drag out to the ground. out escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. out jabs Rua right on the nose. Rua blinks but takes it well. Rua takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
out lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rua circles away quickly and effectively. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Rua gets in close and instigates a clinch. Rua jumps guard but out stands there with Rua around his waist. Rua gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Rua controls out momentarily but out frees himself. out wants to control from the top but Rua keeps moving. out landing with the ground and pound. out pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rua is keeping the position for now.
Rua is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rua is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. out controlling the position well.

out tries to roll over but Rua keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. out tries to kick Rua off but Rua keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Rua trying to control the action but out is working from the bottom. Rua works his way into full mount! out is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rua looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. out can't escape the position.
out defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Rua. Rua avoids the attempt from out to control.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. out is working to get back to half guard.
out is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

out has hold of Rua's hands but Rua slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rua passes to side control. You can see the frustration on out's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Rua tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. out tries to buck Rua off but Rua is having none of it.
