Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luis Gutierrez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Butch McDanton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gutierrez's entrance music is Hoy Gano Yo. A fine choice. McDanton has chosen Solja Boy Tell Um as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The key to victory for Luis Gutierrez has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Butch McDanton! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gutierrez scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Gutierrez stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. McDanton stuffs the takedown. McDanton misses with the combination.
McDanton keeps the fight on the outside. Gutierrez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gutierrez lands in his opponent's guard. McDanton looks gassed! Gutierrez looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. Butch McDanton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McDanton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Gutierrez could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. McDanton looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Gutierrez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McDanton to the mat! McDanton manages to get full guard. McDanton throws his legs up looking for a submission but Gutierrez uses it to pass to side control.
McDanton manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. McDanton is refusing to be controlled, as Gutierrez sits in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McDanton makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! McDanton misses with a wild combination.
A big left from McDanton misses. McDanton stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gutierrez. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Gutierrez has closed the distance and engaged McDanton in a clinch.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gutierrez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. McDanton not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

McDanton slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Gutierrez wants to control from the top but McDanton keeps moving. Gutierrez thows a big elbow that misses. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. No joy there for McDanton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Palacios fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shiro manages to avoid it. Shiro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Shiro uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Palacios. Shiro closes the distance and clinches.

Shiro misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Palacios lands with a hook. Shiro tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shiro is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Palacios doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Shiro crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Shiro's bad books for that mishap!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dillenger with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
