Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sagat Petchyindee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Gracie! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petchyindee buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Gracie wants to clinch. Petchyindee throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gracie. Gracie gets a clinch. Gracie drops down looking for an ankle pick but Petchyindee pulls his leg out and moves away.
An inside leg kick lands from Petchyindee. Gracie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Gracie stands up. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Sagat Petchyindee. Gracie shoots for a takedown but Petchyindee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Petchyindee scoring well with a low kick there.
Petchyindee thows a body kick. Gracie tries to catch it but that hurt him. Good leg kick by Petchyindee there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Gracie chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Petchyindee can pounce on him.
Petchyindee goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Nice sprawl there from Petchyindee as Gracie shoots in. Gracie takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Petchyindee throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gracie's head. Petchyindee swats away the attempt to clinch by Gracie. Crunch! Petchyindee slams his shin into Gracie's torso. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Petchyindee scores with a leg kick.

Gracie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gracie lands in his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gracie is desperately trying to improve his position but Petchyindee has a good base and remains in mount. Gracie tries to lock up and control but Petchyindee gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Gracie really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Petchyindee content just to control the position here. Gracie tries to reverse the position but Petchyindee maintains control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Petchyindee looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Petchyindee throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Petchyindee lands a jab to Gracie's midsection. Gracie is looking to clinch. Petchyindee bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gracie's head. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Petchyindee, right into the meat.
Petchyindee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Gracie shoots for a takedown but Petchyindee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Sagat Petchyindee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Petchyindee cracks the inside of Gracie's front leg. Gracie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Gracie scores with a couple of short elbows. Petchyindee sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Gracie is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Petchyindee has managed to free his arm - good work. Gracie not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie passes the guard and advances to mount! Petchyindee wants to control but Gracie is having none of it. Petchyindee is looking to get to half guard. Gracie lands a big shot there that rocks Petchyindee but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Petchyindee is looking to escape. Gracie is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Petchyindee is in all sorts of trouble here.
Petchyindee is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Rick Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gracie misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
And that's the end of the fight! Sagat Petchyindee showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Petchyindee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dueck stuffs the takedown. Weather misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Dueck dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Weather. That did some damage! A head kick misses from Dueck. Weather forces Dueck back against the cage and clinches. Dueck prevents the takedown attempt.
Dennis Dueck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Weather. Dueck using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Weather has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Dueck breaks from the clinch.
Dueck throws a leg kick that is checked and Weather counters with a left and a right that stings Dueck. Weather looks for a takedown but Dueck sprawls well. Weather fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Dueck scores with a leg kick.
A clash of legs there as Weather blocks the low kick. Weather looks to throw a body kick and Dueck counters with a body kick that stops Weather in his tracks momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice leg kick lands there from Dueck. Weather shoots in looking for a takedown. Dueck tries to sprawl out of it but Weather keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dueck manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Weather clobbers Dueck with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Weather shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dueck as he avoids it easily. Dueck scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Dueck walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Weather checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. A low kick from Dueck is predictable there and Weather counters with a takedown into side control. Weather trying to control the position but Dueck is working away. Weather is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dueck sneaks back into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! John Weather comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Dueck has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
