This has been an exciting period of action!
Kashkin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Benoit.
Benoit misses with a few strikes there.
Vladislav Kashkin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Benoit throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kashkin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd cheers as Benoit lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kashkin doesn't seem phased though.
Benoit does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Benoit fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kashkin on the side of the head.
Benoit swings for the body but Kashkin moves out of range.
Kashkin gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kashkin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Benoit paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Benoit is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Benoit lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Kashkin is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kashkin walks straight into a right hand from Benoit - that's dropped him! Benoit jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Kashkin from any more punishment! Kashkin complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
