The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reygaerts is looking to clinch but Rulez is avoiding it.

Rulez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Reygaerts circles away. Rulez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Rulez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Rulez throws a strike but Reygaerts rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Rulez tries to land a sweep but no joy. Reygaerts throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rulez works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Reygaerts scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Rulez looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Reygaerts puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Reygaerts is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Dimitri Reygaerts dominated that round. The cut man is working on Turbo Rulez's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Rulez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rulez in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rulez working away. Reygaerts manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Reygaerts is trying to stand.
Rulez frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Rulez controlling from the full mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rulez scoring with strikes but Reygaerts is staying in there.

Reygaerts tries to reverse the position but Rulez maintains control. Reygaerts bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Reygaerts pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rulez is keeping the position for now. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rulez is on top in guard.

Rulez decides to stand back up. Rulez steps back and let's Reygaerts get back to his feet. Rulez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rulez shoots in and drives through. Reygaerts sprawls well. A good leg kick by Rulez. Dimitri Reygaerts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reygaerts throws a body punch but Rulez moves out of range. Rulez scores with a takedown into Reygaerts's guard. Rulez is stalling in the full guard. Rulez won't allow Reygaerts to sweep him here.

Rulez wants to control but Reygaerts is keeping him busy. Rulez throwing shots but missing, from side control. Reygaerts is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reygaerts tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rulez trying to control the action but Reygaerts is working from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Reygaerts feints and as Rulez raises his hands in defense, Reygaerts changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Reygaerts prevents Rulez from getting back to his feet. Reygaerts wanted to stand there but Rulez had control of the position. Rulez pushes Reygaerts off and gets back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rulez misses with a few strikes there.
Rulez keeps the fight on the outside. Reygaerts shoots in but no luck this time. Reygaerts tries to clinch but Rulez is having none of it. Rulez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Turbo Rulez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rulez circles away from the clinch attempt.

Nice body punch from Reygaerts. Rulez takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Rulez throws a body kick that misses. Reygaerts moves in looking to clinch but Rulez pushes him off. Reygaerts closes the distance looking to clinch and Rulez counters with a head kick. That will keep Reygaerts thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reygaerts has closed the distance and engaged Rulez in a clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Dimitri Reygaerts comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Reygaerts has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Suffer is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Suffer looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Shirk wants to control but Suffer is keeping busy.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Suffer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Shirk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Suffer's guard. Shirk lands a couple of elbows.
It looks like Will Suffer has been cut. Shirk has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Suffer gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Barry Shirk will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Will Suffer's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ruttijn dances in with a quick combination. Balboa is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Ruttijn snaps Balboa's head back. Balboa stumbles backwards against the cage. Ruttijn steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Balboa's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Balboa just didn't come prepared.
