Briatore controls the position. Maia is trying to get back to half guard. Maia seems a little lost for a moment, as Briatore dominates the positioning. Maia manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Maia is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Briatore pulls his head out easily. Briatore is taking a breather. Maia says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Maia is trying to get back to full guard. Maia has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Briatore trying to control the action but Maia just sinks the hooks in. Maia looking for the choke but no joy. Briatore might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Briatore can't escape the position.

Damian Maia has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Briatore scoring with punches from side control. Maia takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Briatore taking a breather here. Maia manages to work his way to half guard, despite Briatore's best efforts.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Theriot changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dengel fails with an attempt to clinch.
Heimbach tries to move into range but Dengel moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Heimbach uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dengel. Dengel throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Heimbach stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Heimbach looks gassed! Nice body punch from Dengel. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dengel with a dominant takedown and that's winded Heimbach.
Heimbach is rocked! Dengel's corner is telling him to maintain position. Heimbach is still in real trouble! Can Dengel finish him? Dengel gets to his feet. Heimbach looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Dengel fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Heimbach out cold! Brutal finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gavin fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Droopy misses with a looping left. Droopy lands a jab. Droopy looks to land a combination but Gavin avoids it well. Droopy lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Droopy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Droopy sends Gavin crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Droopy is motioning to the referee to let Gavin up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Gavin is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Droopy closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Gavin! Droopy dives in looking to finish! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Thomas. Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Thomas which made him look bad. Jones looks to land a right hand but Thomas moved out of range. Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Thomas circles away.

Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Jones's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Jones takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hay thows a left - swing and a miss! Hay throws a body punch but Slice moves out of range. Slice instigates a clinch. Slice controlling the action here for a moment.
Hay gets control of Slice's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hay will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Slice wants to get up but he can't break Hay's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Slice controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Hay wants to sweep but no luck. Hay throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hay doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Hay walks into a stiff left hand from Slice. Slice stalks Hay and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hay's face. Hay staggers backwards, shaken. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Slice fails to land with a series of punches.

Hay has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Slice lands a nice hook to Hay's body. Hay takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Hay takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Kilyoazz stuffs the takedown. Kilyoazz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bunz sprawls well initially but Kilyoazz persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Kilyoazz prevents Bunz from improving his position. Kilyoazz is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Kilyoazz is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Bunz pulls down on the head and he's put Kilyoazz to sleep! This one is all over!
