The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pirate drops B with a left right combo! Pirate follows him down to the ground into side control.
It looks like P B has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! You can see the frustration on B's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Pirate tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Pirate is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. B is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Pirate has just dragged him back down to the mat. B manages to get back to half guard. B is refusing to be controlled, as Pirate sits in half guard. Pirate tries to stand but his hand is stuck under B. B tries to get to full guard but Pirate has control of the leg.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pirate wants to clinch up but B keeps it at a distance. Pirate avoids the head kick by B.

Pirate moves in looking to clinch but B pushes him off. B throws a nice looking combination but Pirate bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A decent looking cross lands there for Pirate. Good exchange - B coming out on top. Pirate misses with a straight left. B tries a head kick but it misses.
B tries to bum rush Pirate with a series of wild strikes but Pirate uses good footwork to avoid the assault. B fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pirate manages to avoid it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from B. B takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Pirate cracks B with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Somali Pirate seems to be getting the better of the standup. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pirate scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Pirate fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pirate lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Pirate lands a with a good body shot. Pirate tries to clinch but B is having none of it. A punch combination from B misses. Pirate lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as B backs up against the cage.

It looks like Banana Fly has been cut. Bone cracks a nice hook into Fly's ribs. Bone lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Fly backs up against the cage.
