The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morton tries to clinch there but Tibbs circles away.
Morton looks for a takedown but Tibbs sprawls well. Tibbs throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Morton sees it coming and avoids it easily. Morton is looking to clinch. Morton slips under a jab. Tibbs misses with a straight right. Excellent takedown into side control there by Morton. Tibbs wants to get back to his feet. Morton is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Tibbs has escaped the position, nice work there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tibbs wants to get back to his feet but Morton drags him back down. Morton tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Morton has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Tibbs is trying to get back to his feet.

Tyrol closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Richter to the mat! Richter manages to get full guard. Richter has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Tyrol off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Tyrol doesn't manage to clinch there - Richter circles away.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tyrol isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Richter stacks Tyrol on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Richter!

Richter is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Tyrol gets his way!

Nope, Montoya Rivera circles away and we're back to standing. Doss changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Montoya Rivera tries to avoid it but Doss manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Montoya Rivera to the ground. Montoya Rivera escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Montoya Rivera shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Montoya Rivera was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Walker looks to land a right hand but Corrales moved out of range. Walker moves into range and clinches up with Corrales. A quick uppercut on the inside from Corrales. Knees in the clinch landing for Corrales.

Tyler Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walker lands a two punch combo.

Corrales throws a series of punches but Walker avoids them all with ease. Walker fails with the takedown and Corrales counters with a lovely straight right hand! Chico Corrales has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyler Walker. Corrales is breathing heavily. Walker misses with an uppercut.
