1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mirko Filapovich! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Columbo Gatti and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Filapovich throws a half hearted mid kick. A head kick misses from Filapovich. A big left from Filapovich misses. Marko II bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Marko II sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Filapovich is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Marko II creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Filapovich sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Filapovich is pushing Marko II's head away, looking to escape. Marko II manages to hold on to the position though. Marko II lands a decent elbow from side control. Marko II has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Marko II wants to control but Filapovich is keeping him busy. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Latouche misses with a wild combination.
Latouche fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Rogers tries to clinch but Latouche moves out of range. Latouche misses with a series of wild punches.
Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch but Latouche swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rogers tries to clinch but Latouche is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rogers tries to clinch up but Latouche circles away and keeps his distance. Good leg kick by Latouche there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Rogers lands a shoulder strike. Rogers prevents Latouche from breaking the clinch. Rogers lands with a right to the head. Rogers scores with a shoulder strike. Rogers cracks Latouche with a nice body shot. Rogers digs a right hand underneath Latouche's ribcage. Latouche let out a lung full of air as it connected. Latouche is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rogers creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Latouche is rocked! A head punch on the inside from Rogers fails to land. Oh Latouche is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rogers lands a shot to the body. Rogers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Latouche seems to have got his legs back now. Rogers scores with a jab to the head.
Rogers takes the fight into the clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Rogers. Rogers lands a big right hand! Latouche is out cold! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dirt tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Dirt looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Woodring cracks Dirt with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Joe Dirt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dirt shoots in for a takedown but Woodring shows good takedown defense. Dirt shoots in for a takedown but Woodring shows good takedown defense. Woodring lands the left hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dirt needs to keep his hands up - Woodring had a free shot at his head there. Woodring lands a brutal head kick. Dirt looks out on his feet and Woodring throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mashdein closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Mashdein working the head and body with strikes. Mashdein cracks Jordan with a big right hand but Jordan just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Mashdein working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Mashdein cracks Jordan with a big elbow. Jordan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mashdein on the ground. Jordan taking a bit of punishment here - Mashdein scoring with strikes. Jordan tries to buck Mashdein off but Mashdein is having none of it. Mashdein has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mashdein connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Jordan some visible discomfort.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jordan wants to control but Mashdein postures up. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jordan takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Mashdein lands a strong strike to the head of Jordan. That's dazed him! Mashdein looking to finish here. Jordan is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Mashdein lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson throws a head kick that misses. Wilson avoids the body shot from Lacey.
Wilson throws a series of punches but Lacey moves out of range. Lacey moves into the clinch. Lacey's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Lacey has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wilson uses from the top position. Lacey seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Lacey kicks Wilson off and gets to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson wants to clinch and Lacey counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Lacey decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Wilson instigates a clinch. Lacey pulls guard. Lacey pushes Wilson off and gets back to his feet.
Wade Winston Wilson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Wilson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lacey - the referee stops the clock and Wilson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lacey. Wilson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lacey is looking to slow Wilson down with leg kicks. Wilson looks gassed! Wilson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lacey circles away quickly and effectively. Lacey looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Lacey scores with a one two! Wilson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Wade Winston Wilson has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lacey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wilson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Lacey slows the pace down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lacey has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Lacey gets a takedown into half guard. Lacey is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wilson defends it well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lacey is pressing down on Wilson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wilson is holding on for now. Wilson tries to kick Lacey off but Lacey keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lacey trying to pass the guard but Wilson defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Ba is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ba tries to land a sweep but no joy. Nastie won't allow Ba to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nastie trying to control the position from guard on top but Ba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ba is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nastie tries to stand but Ba is controlling from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ba punishes Nastie's body with a nice straight punch. Nastie tries to clinch but Ba moves out of range. Ba dodges the punch combination from Nastie.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ba moves into the clinch. Nice body punch from Nastie. Ba stalling in the clinch but Nastie improves position. Ba missing with knees to the body.

Nastie attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Good shot there by Ba. Ba darts in and clinches Nastie up against the cage. Ba escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ba instigates a clinch. Nastie gets control of Ba's arms and successfully pulls guard. Nastie will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Nastie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ba is one step ahead there. Nastie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ba gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Ba controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nastie had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ba is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Nastie Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ba's back instead. Nastie trying to control momentarily.
Nastie looks gassed! Nastie is hanging on to Ba's back as he tries to escape.
Nastie has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Ba has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Nastie is trying to stick to Ba's back but Ba is turning into Nastie. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Nastie's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Ba. Ba with a flurry of punches that miss. Ba with a nice head shot there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ba is looking to stand up but Nastie won't let him. Ba throws and elbow that misses. Nastie uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ba's guard. Nice move by Nastie! Nastie wants to control from the top but Ba keeps moving. Ba is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Nastie won't allow Ba to get back to his feet. Nastie loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ba doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Nastie wants to control from the top but Ba keeps moving. Nastie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ba is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nastie stands up from Ba's guard - Nastie perhaps looking for a knockout. Ba throws a combination that misses and Nastie holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Nastie connects with a nasty looking knee right to Ba's face.
Nastie takes an elbow to the temple. Ba lands a shot to the body. Nastie tries for a takedown. No joy.

Those have got to be taking their toll on Nastie's gas tank. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ba creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A close round but Bo Nastie will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nastie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nastie is looking to clinch but Ba is avoiding it.

Nastie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ba closes the distance and pushes Nastie back into the cage. Nastie fails to pull guard.
Ba is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Nastie goes for a takedown attempt but Ba pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Billy Ba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bo Nastie. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nastie takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ba scores a takedown into full mount! Nastie is in a horrible position here. Ba smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Nastie tries to lock up and control but Ba gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Nastie is looking to get to half guard. Ba working Nastie over with strikes here. Ba takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Ba sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ba throwing strikes here but Nastie is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ba punching from mount but Nastie doing a good job of avoiding damage. Ba lands a heavy elbow. Ba throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Nastie is looking to improve his position but Ba isn't that keen on the idea. Ba can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nastie is looking to escape. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ba cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ba landing shots from mount. Ba misses with a head shot. Nastie can't escape the position.

Nastie shoots in but no luck this time. Nastie walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Nastie has his takedown stuffed and Ba holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Ba manages to break the clinch.

Ba darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Nastie wants to improve his position but Ba is controlling well.
Ba frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Nastie tries to get back to half guard but can't. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Ba. Ba lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Ba landing strikes from the mount. Nastie tries to hold on but Ba postures up. Ba with the ground and pound from mount. Nastie tries to reverse the position but Ba maintains control. Nastie is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Ba putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Nastie bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kildahl shoots in for a double leg but Crackson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kildahl fails to land with a series of punches.

Crackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Crackson looking to secure an arm triangle but Kildahl defends it well.
