The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neto looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Dos Santos punching from the bottom.
Neto trying to pass the guard but Dos Santos defending well. Dos Santos is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Neto pulls his head out easily. Dos Santos is defending against the submission attempts here by Neto.
Neto is looking to advance position but Dos Santos won't allow it. Dos Santos wants to get back to his feet. Neto not landing any meaningful shots this time. Neto blocks the strikes from Dos Santos.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Neto keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dos Santos. Dos Santos looks to land a right hand but Neto moved out of range. Neto fails to land with a series of punches.
Neto drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Neto lands a couple of digs.

Let's hope that Neto has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Dos Santos working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Neto. Neto is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dos Santos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Neto gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Neto decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dos Santos, up you get! Neto closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Neto lands in his opponent's guard. Dos Santos wants to get back to his feet but Neto is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Neto stands up and waves to Dos Santos to follow him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dos Santos scores with a jab to the jaw. Dos Santos misses with a hook. Neto moves out of range of the strikes. Neto closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Dos Santos is refusing to be controlled, as Neto sits in half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Dos Santos is trying to stand back up but Neto is controlling him
Dos Santos is breathing heavily. Neto not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Neto content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ground and pound from Neto. Neto is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Neto bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Neto tries to move into full mount but can't pass Dos Santos's legs. Dos Santos wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Dos Santos tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Neto wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dos Santos throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Neto is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dos Santos has escaped the position, nice work there. Dos Santos regains half guard. Neto is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dos Santos is just riding it out for now. Neto eventually gives up the hold. Neto wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dos Santos keeps working.

It looks like Mario Neto has been cut. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dos Santos misses the jab. Dos Santos throws the left hand but Neto avoids the punch easily. Dos Santos throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A big right from Dos Santos misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mario Neto dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mario Neto's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Neto closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dos Santos looking for a sweep but Neto has passed into full mount! Oh no! Dos Santos sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Dos Santos is staying active underneath Neto, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Dos Santos moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Dos Santos keeping moving, preventing Neto from controlling successfully. Neto pushing down on Dos Santos's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Neto blocks the strikes from Dos Santos.

Dos Santos tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Neto wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dos Santos wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Neto thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dos Santos tries to bench press Neto off him but Neto keeps the position. Neto avoids the strikes from the bottom by Dos Santos.

Neto working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Dos Santos misses with a strike from the bottom. Neto has hold of Dos Santos's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Dos Santos seems comfortable defending it but Neto has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Dos Santos is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Dos Santos is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Neto couldn't care less - he's delighted!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wayne tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Wayne is looking to clinch. Wayne doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.
Wayne moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off. Wayne tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wayne lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Wayne is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Lil Wayne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wayne moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off. Wayne moves into the clinch. Wayne misses with a knee to the head. Jones pulls guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wayne tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Wayne prevents Jones from getting the reversal. Jones is trying to reverse the position but instead Wayne has taken his back - oops! You can see the frustration on Jones's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Guerreiro. Duarte misses with an uppercut. Guerreiro saw that one coming. Guerreiro gets caught flat footed, as Duarte shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Duarte has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Guerreiro to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Duarte is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Guerreiro pulls down on the head and he's put Duarte to sleep! This one is all over!
