0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Thiago Silva! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva throws a head kick that misses. Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Chekutimi throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease. Chekutimi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Chekutimi lands an overhand right. Chekutimi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Chekutimi, as that shot connected.
Silva slips a jab from Chekutimi. Koya Chekutimi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chekutimi tries for a takedown but Silva circles away easily and Silva counters with a flying knee that drops Chekutimi! Silva stands up from Chekutimi's guard - Silva perhaps looking for a knockout. Silva showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Chekutimi.
Chekutimi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Silva drops back looking for a leg! Chekutimi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chekutimi manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Chekutimi's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chekutimi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Silva wants to stand but Chekutimi has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Chekutimi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Chekutimi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Silva is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Chekutimi. Silva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Silva looks gassed! Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chekutimi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chekutimi is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Silva working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Chekutimi is looking for a sweep. Chekutimi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chekutimi tries to kick Silva off but Silva keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Chekutimi looking for submissions off his back. Chekutimi actively working from the bottom here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Chekutimi works over Silva's head and body with a nice combination. Silva clinches. Silva turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Chekutimi is looking for a sweep. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but Chekutimi is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Chekutimi tries to bench press Silva off him but Silva keeps the position. Chekutimi is pushing Silva's head away, looking to escape. Silva manages to hold on to the position though.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Chekutimi throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Silva counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Silva pulls guard successfully.
Silva has his foot on Chekutimi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chekutimi works his way back into a safe position though. Chekutimi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chekutimi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chekutimi's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thiago Silva dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A left lands for Chekutimi. Chekutimi throws a front kick aimed at Silva's knee but Silva avoids it well. Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chekutimi as he avoids it easily. Chekutimi tests Silva's chin there with a solid looking shot. Chekutimi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Chekutimi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chekutimi's guard. Chekutimi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Chekutimi has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Silva. Oh but Chekutimi has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Silva goes limp - he's gone! Chekutimi jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murray throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Silva clinches up against the ropes. A battle for position here, against the ropes. Murray gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Silva.
Silva lands a takedown into guard.
Murray kicks Silva off and gets to his feet. Murray shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nice sprawl there from Murray as Silva shoots in. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Silva. Silva throws a head kick that misses. Silva lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Silva misses with a looping right. Murray avoids the head kick by Silva.
Silva throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Murray's head. Silva tries for a takedown but Murray circles away easily and Murray counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Silva is breathing heavily. Murray fails in his attempt to clinch. Murray moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
It looks like Diego Silva has been cut. Good standup being displayed there by Murray as he connects with a hook. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Silva dodges the punch combination from Murray.
Murray decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Silva wants to get back to full guard. Murray is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Murray passes to full mount! Murray connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Murray has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murray has control of Silva's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Silva regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Murray lands a nice shot to the head. Murray unloading with bombs! Silva tries to get back to half guard but can't. Murray is landing with some decent strikes but Silva is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. A nice elbow there by Murray. Murray tries to control but Silva wriggling away. Murray working for a guillotine from mount but Silva is in no mood to give up.

The referee warns Silva that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Silva wants to hold on but Murray pushes him away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Murray lands a nice shot to the head. Murray avoids the attempt from Silva to control. Murray lands a big shot there that rocks Silva but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Silva tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Murray just stands there and leans against the ropes. Murray is trying to break the clinch but Silva has him pressed against the ropes. Silva jumps guard but Murray stands there with Silva around his waist. Silva gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Murray. Murray tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Silva swivels and escapes. Murray on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Silva. Silva obviously looking to wear him down.
Murray is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Silva throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Murray's head. A right-left combo lands from Murray.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murray takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Silva scores with a kick to the body.

Silva gets a clinch. Silva unloads a knee to the mid-section. Murray lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Murray throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Silva looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Silva turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Murray gets in close and instigates a clinch. Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Diego Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva misses with a combination

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Murray lands a really nice looking cross but Silva seems unphased.

Murray closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Murray pushes Silva against the ropes but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Silva connects with a high kick. Silva wants to clinch up but Murray keeps it at a distance. Murray shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Murray showed some decent athleticism there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva trying to hold on to Murray's head to control him but Murray postures up.

Leee Murray showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Diego Silva's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Silva is looking to clinch. Murray shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silva pinned against the cage. Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Silva misses with a jab, cross combination.
A chopping leg kick lands by Silva. Silva wants to clinch. Murray fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Murray persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Silva is trying to get back to full guard. Silva looks like he's trying to stand up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murray prevents Silva from improving his position. Murray passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Silva! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Silva is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Murray postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Silva looks a forlorn figure.
Murray can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Silva is looking to escape. Silva's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The referee warns Silva that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Murray is in the full mount, landing strikes. Murray raining down shots from the mount! You get the feeling that Silva really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Murray fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Murray wants to finish this one by submission but Silva is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Murray. Murray is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Silva can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva wants to hold on but Murray pushes him away. Murray lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Silva hang on? Diego Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Leee Murray is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silva tries to lock up and control but Murray gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that's the end of the fight! Leee Murray comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Murray has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Smyth will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Barbosa catches Smyth napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Smyth to the canvas!
It looks like Josh Smyth has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barbosa trying to control but Smyth is working from the bottom. Smyth working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Barbosa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Barbosa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Barbosa trying to control but Smyth is working from the bottom. Smyth is looking for a triangle but Barbosa pushes his legs off easily.
Barbosa stands up from Smyth's guard - Barbosa perhaps looking for a knockout. Barbosa misses with a straight right. Smyth ducks straight into an uppercut from Barbosa and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Smyth maanges to regain guard straight away.
Smyth is rocked! Barbosa gets to his feet. Smyth looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Smyth is still on wobbly legs! Can Barbosa finish him? Smyth ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Smyth seems to have recovered his senses. Nice sprawl there from Barbosa as Smyth shoots in.

Barbosa is pulling down on Smyth's head. It's preventing any offense from Smyth, at least for the moment. Smyth stopping the sweep attempt from Barbosa. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Barbosa is on top in guard.

Fro seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Liddel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Liddel moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
