The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ekbom moves in looking to clinch but Peto pushes him off.

Peto fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ekbom, pushing him back against the cage.
Peto throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Peto stops a takedown attempt from Ekbom.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Peto.
Peto trying to land knees to the body.
Ekbom is working for takedown but Peto is calmly controlling the position for now.
Peto misses with an elbow over the top.

Ekbom has picked Peto up - he's going for a ride! Ekbom dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Ekbom jumps guard but Peto stands there with Ekbom around his waist. Ekbom gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Peto comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Peto lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ekbom backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Peto is trying to trip Ekbom. He has hold of a leg but Ekbom is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Peto persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Ekbom has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Peto stands and steps away. Ekbom gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Peto is looking to clinch but Ekbom is avoiding it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Peto feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Peto drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Peto jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ekbom manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Peto manages to get himself to full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Peto pushes Ekbom away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ekbom gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Well Peto has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
