Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Abbate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drake comes to the cage accompanied by Kiss - God of Thunder. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Abbate! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abbate uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Drake.
Drake is looking to clinch but Abbate is avoiding it.
Drake drops Abbate with a nice combination! Drake dives into Abbate's guard, looking to finish!
 It looks like Nick Abbate has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Drake pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Abbate is keeping the position for now. Drake wants to get up but he can't break Abbate's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Drake's corner is telling him to maintain position. Drake stopping the sweep attempt from Abbate. Drake controlling from the top position. Drake wants to pass the guard but Abbate is keeping the position. Drake sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Abbate wants to finish this one by submission but Drake is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Abbate. Drake is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Abbate working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Drake slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Abbate wants to get up but he can't break Drake's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Abbate is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Abbate looks gassed! Drake wants to stand and escape but Abbate is having none of it. Drake lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Abbate! Drake controlling from the full mount.

 The referee stands the fighters back up. Chad Drake just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Abbate takes one on the button.
Drake gets in close and instigates a clinch. Drake throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Abbates head.

Abbate ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Abbate no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Drake decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Abbate, up you get! Drake connects with the punch. Abbate is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Drake. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Abbate gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Drake. Drake lands with a big left! Abbate is wobbled badly! Drake comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Abbate to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goose works Damatter's body with a nice hook. Goose tries to clinch but Damatter moves out of range.

Damatter drops down looking for an ankle pick but Goose pulls his leg out and moves away.
Goose throws a leg kick but Damatter sees it coming and moves out of range. Goose misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Goose throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Damatter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Goose is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Damatter is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Goose prevents Damatter from escaping the position. Goose goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Damatter rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Goose's guard! Nice work there by Damatter! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goose must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Damatter has a closed guard, preventing Goose from standing up.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Goose trying to control the position from guard on top but Damatter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Damatter tries to land a sweep but no joy. Goose trying to move into half guard but instead Damatter has managed to sweep! Goose trying to keep a closed guard but Damatter is proving a slippery customer.

Goose looks to land a right hand but Damatter moved out of range. Goose throws a sloppy head kick and Damatter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Goose using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Damatter has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Bacon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Bacon is keen to just control but Baaden is a slippery customer. Baaden is looking to escape. Bacon looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Bacon is just content to waste time from the top position. Baaden takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Baaden thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Bacon trying to control but Baaden is working from the bottom. Bacon won't allow Baaden to get back to his feet. Bacon won't allow Baaden to sweep him here.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, jab by Blasko - just one landing. Blasko moves in looking to clinch but Harper pushes him off. Danga de danga de dang - Harper scores with a four punch combination! Blasko swings for the body but Harper moves out of range.
Blasko shoots in and drives through. Harper sprawls well.
Blasko takes the fight into the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Blasko. Harper avoiding damage.
Harper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Harper looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blasko is fending him off so far but Harper persists. Nope, Blasko circles away and we're back to standing. Blasko throws a looping overhand right but Harper ducks down to avoid it. Harper shoots in and drives through. Blasko sprawls well. John Blasko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Blasko takes a kick to the side of the head. Harper fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. John Blasko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The crowd cheers as Blasko lands an impressive looking overhand right. Harper doesn't seem phased though.

Blasko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Blasko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Harper looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Blasko with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Blasko throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Harper is nestled in close to Blasko, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Harper works his way into side control. Blasko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Harper wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blasko keeps working. Blasko looking for a sweep but Harper has passed into full mount! Oh no! Blasko is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Blasko is trying desperately to improve position. Harper trying to control but he's not successful this time. Harper connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Blasko tries to clinch but Harper moves out of range. Blasko lands with a shot to the body. A low kick from Blasko is predictable there and Harper counters with a left and a right that stings Blasko. Harper misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Blasko scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Horrible takedown by PantZ or perhaps it was just good defense by Mack which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for CrankY PantZ.  Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mack fakes high and swings low for a body shot but PantZ manages to avoid it. PantZ shoots in looking for a takedown. Mack tries to sprawl out of it but PantZ keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mack manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. PantZ tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mack swivels and escapes. CrankY PantZ is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Mack is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by PantZ. The fight stays on the outside here - PantZ looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mack pulls out of a head kick attempt.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Milkins keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Johnson. Milkins throws a series of punches but Johnson moves out of range. Milkins throws a head kick that misses. Johnson throws a hook but Milkins blocks it. Milkins throws a nice inside leg kick. Johnson avoids the body shot from Milkins.
Johnson shoots in and drives through. Milkins sprawls well. Milkins throws a sloppy head kick and Johnson moves out of range easily. Milkins misses with a low kick.
Johnson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Milkins.
Milkins cracks a nice hook into Johnson's ribs. Alan Milkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Milkins throws a looping overhand right but Johnson ducks down to avoid it. Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Johnson shoots in but Milkins avoids the takedown attempt easily. Alan Milkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Johnson. Milkins swats away the attempt to clinch by Johnson. Johnson misses with a straight right. Johnson dodges the punch combination from Milkins.

 It looks like Kekoa Tama has been cut. Johnson lands with a right hand. Johnson looks to land a combination but Tama avoids it well. Kekoa Tama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tama walks into a stiff left hand from Johnson. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Tama.

 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Johnson throws a nice looking combination but Tama bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Johnson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Nice cross by Johnson.
 Kekoa Tama's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Johnson connects with a crisp jab. Tama ducks right into an uppercut from Johnson. Tama takes a shot to the eye socket. Johnson is fending him off so far but Tama persists. Nope, Johnson circles away and we're back to standing. Johnson throws out a powerful jab. Tama loads up on a big right hand but Johnson slips the punch. Tama wants to clinch but Johnson slips to the side and Johnson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Tama shoots in but no luck this time. Tama throws a looping overhand right but Johnson ducks down to avoid it. Danga de danga de dang - Johnson scores with a four punch combination! Johnson avoids the head kick by Tama.

Tama closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side and Johnson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Tama looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tama scores with a shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tama fails with an attempt to clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Tama looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Johnson lands with a nice combination. Tama backs away looking to recover. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Johnson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Tama doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Johnson counter with a right hand. Johnson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kekoa Tama's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
