The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kurosagi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kurosagi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kasumia is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kurosagi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kurosagi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kurosagi is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kasumia is trying to escape and Kurosagi transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kasumia is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kurosagi! Very nice indeed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suzuki lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Backslide at a distance.
Suzuki shoots for a takedown but Backslide saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The fighters circle momentarily. Suzuki darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Suzuki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Backslide tries to avoid it but Suzuki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Backslide to the ground. Backslide escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Backslide tries to clinch up but Suzuki circles away and keeps his distance. Backslide tries to close the distance and clinch up but Suzuki swats him away and circles back towards the center. Suzuki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bidness is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Bidness rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rua moves out of range and avoids them all easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bidness fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Rush manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
