 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Troyer shoots in but no luck this time. De Troyer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Diaz waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract De Troyer.
The fight moves into the clinch position. De Troyer has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Diaz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Carmelo Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Olivier De Troyer.
De Troyer successfully pulls guard.
Diaz drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Diaz as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! De Troyer screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Diaz! Nice submission victory there!

Jason Simpson had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Jason Simpson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simpson shoots in but no luck this time. Simpson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. McClure fails to land with a series of punches.
Simpson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McClure's waist but Simpson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Simpson off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Simpson. That's going to take a lot out of him. McClure tries to bum rush Simpson with a series of wild strikes but Simpson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. McClure scores with the left hand. Simpson knows he should have avoided that one. Jason Simpson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McClure misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Simpson.
McClure throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A combination from Simpson does no damage. Simpson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McClure but McClure pushes him off and we're back to square one. Simpson is breathing heavily.
McClure shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McClure showed some decent athleticism there. Simpson is trying to control but can't.
McClure tries to stand and escape but Simpson is controlling the position. Simpson is trying to maintain the position but McClure is very close to passing his half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Simpson is pressing down on McClure's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Simpson striking from the bottom here. Simpson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McClure manages to get himself to full guard.
McClure tries to land a sweep but no joy. Simpson distracts McClure with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Simpson controlling from the top position. Simpson wants to control from the top but McClure keeps moving.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Simpson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Simpson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Simpson doesn't succeed with the takedown and McClure counters with a body kick.
McClure shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Simpson wants to get back to his feet.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Simpson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McClure's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McClure's back! Simpson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. McClure just trying to survive but Simpson is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. McClure is keeping busy.
Simpson lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns McClure.
Simpson controlling the position well here. McClure rolled but Simpson kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Simpson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Simpson wants to control but McClure is keeping busy. Simpson biding his time, looking for the opening.
McClure really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Simpson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
 The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jason Simpson. McClure thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Simpson if he has to take too many more of those.
Simpson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Simpson misses with a series of wild punches.
McClure swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Simpson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Simpson with a lazy takedown attempt and McClure counters with a three punch combo that has Simpson backing up. Simpson nods at McClure to acknowledge the strikes. Simpson misses with a takedown and McClure counters with a one-two to the body. McClure swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McClure stuffs the takedown. Simpson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and McClure counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Simpson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dustin McClure dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Simpson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from McClure. That one must have hurt. Simpson scores with a push kick. Simpson fails to land with a series of punches.
A punch combination from McClure misses. Simpson tries to bum rush McClure with a series of wild strikes but McClure uses good footwork to avoid the assault. McClure tries to land a front kick but Simpson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Simpson throws a nice looking combination but McClure bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Simpson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McClure moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Simpson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McClure misses with a few strikes there.
McClure changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Simpson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. McClure tries to stand but Simpson is controlling his head. Simpson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McClure thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Simpson actively working from the bottom here. Simpson is pressing down on McClure's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Simpson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Simpson controlling the position easily from mount.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. McClure is looking to improve his position but Simpson isn't that keen on the idea. McClure gets back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Simpson trying to control the action but McClure is working from the bottom. McClure is trying to stand back up but Simpson is controlling him
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Simpson is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but McClure still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, McClure has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
McClure decides to stand up, so the ref orders Simpson to his feet. Simpson moves in looking to clinch but McClure pushes him off. McClure displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Simpson throws out the jab. Simpson tries to clinch up.
McClure feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Simpson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Simpson looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but McClure is defending well. Simpson quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! McClure has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Simpson celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Carlton throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Even with his hooks in, Carlton manages to miss with strikes from the back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Simpson has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Carlton.
Carlton looking for the choke from the back. Simpson looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Carlton's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

and Carlton counters by moving into the clinch.
Simpson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

 The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. and Carlton counters with a shoot takedown. Simpson fights it but they end up in guard.
Carlton drops back, looking for a kneebar! Simpson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Simpson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Simpson! Carlton is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Simpson off and has taken his back!

Carlton sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Simpson taps out!

Rodriguez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Marquiss is breathing heavily. Rodriguez uses his free foot to push down on Marquiss's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Marquiss.
Rodriguez is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Rodriguez extends the arm and Marquiss is forced to tap!

Eetu has closed the distance and engaged Falls in a clinch.
Eetu jumps guard but Falls stands there with Eetu around his waist. Eetu gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Eetu is trying to trip Falls. He has hold of a leg but Falls is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Eetu persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Eetu working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Falls manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Falls goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Eetu is on top in guard.
Falls looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Eetu working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Eetu wants to control from the top but Falls keeps moving.
Falls is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Falls lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Eetu!
Falls swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Eetu is now in Falls's guard. A big mistake from Falls there, giving up the dominant position!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Eetu wants to stand but Falls has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Falls throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Eetu stands up from guard. Let's bang!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Falls tightens his grip and picks Eetu up, before dumping him to the ground. Eetu manages to land in guard. Falls stopping the sweep attempt from Eetu. Eetu is trying to control the position but Falls postures up. Falls won't allow Eetu to sweep him here. Eetu scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Falls advances position into side control! You can see the frustration on Eetu's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Falls will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Eetu looks gassed!
Falls tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Falls has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
