5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Chike Rusesabagina! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vlad fails in his attempt to clinch. Rusesabagina ducks under a wild hook from Vlad. Rusesabagina moves out of range of the strikes. Vlad swings for the body but Rusesabagina moves out of range.
Rusesabagina ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Vlad swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Vlad throws a looping overhand right but Rusesabagina ducks down to avoid it. A telegraphed right hand from Vlad misses the target. Rusesabagina shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vlad as he avoids it easily. Rusesabagina shoots for a takedown but Vlad saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Horrible takedown by Rusesabagina or perhaps it was just good defense by Vlad which made him look bad. Olbrzymi Vlad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chike Rusesabagina. Rusesabagina with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Vlad to score with a decent uppercut. Rusesabagina looks gassed! Vlad just misses with a punch to the body.

Vlad tries to clinch but Rusesabagina is having none of it. Rusesabagina defending well as Vlad loads up on a big left hand. Vlad forces Rusesabagina back against the ropes and clinches. Vlad lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Rusesabagina tries for a takedown. No joy.

Vlad misses with a short punch on the inside. A head punch on the inside from Vlad fails to land. Vlad gets through Rusesabagina's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Rusesabagina is rocked! Vlad doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Vlad lands with a left to the head. Vlad creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Rusesabagina's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Rusesabagina drops to his knees and Vlad pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Shavnetski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones. Shavnetski throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jones lands with a hook. Shavnetski tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
It looks like Vitus Shavnetski has been cut. Jones fails with the takedown. Jones gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Shavnetski stopping the sweep attempt from Jones. Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Shavnetski tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Shavnetski throws a quick inside leg kick. Shavnetski shoots in and bounces Jones off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Vitus Shavnetski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Shavnetski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Volkov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gomez. Gomez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gomez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A swing and a miss from Volkov. Gomez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gomez checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Volkov on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Gomez shoots in and drives through. Volkov sprawls well. Oooh a lovely combination from Volkov sends Gomez down but not out. Volkov dives into side control looking to finish. Gomez tries to get back to half guard but can't. Volkov just content to control the position. Gomez manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gomez wants to get back to full guard. Volkov not landing any meaningful shots this time. Gomez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Volkov is working away from the top position though. Gomez is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Volkov is staying active. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Volkov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Volkov is looking to stand up but Gomez won't let him.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Volkov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gomez, up you get! Gomez moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Volkov digs a good hook to Gomez's body.
Gomez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Volkov. Volkov darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Volkov steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Gomez is out on his feet! Volkov sets himself and nearly takes Gomez's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

A slapping body kick lands there for James. Nice takedown defense from Bato. No joy for James on that attempt. Bato with a hook. A right-left combo lands from James. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A big left from Bato misses. Bato misses the shot to the body. Bato thows a body shot but no joy. James avoids a lazy jab quite easily. James takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. James is looking to clinch but Bato is avoiding it.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. James looks gassed! James in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. An elbow from James crashes against the mat.
Bato can't do much from the bottom here. Bato tries to bench press James off him but James keeps the position. Bato might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

James wants to take a breather but Bato manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for James. Bato is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
