2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruce Chang! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aoki tries to clinch up. The fight stays on the outside here - Aoki looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Aoki blocks a head kick by Chang.

Some bone on bone action there as Chang checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Aoki is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Chang connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Aoki looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Chang! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Chang tries to reverse the position but Aoki maintains control. Aoki is going olschool here, as he tries to force Chang to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Chang shrugs it off. Chang regains half guard.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chang defends it well. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Chang slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Chang has his foot on Aoki's thigh. Chang goes for an armbar but Aoki turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Aoki. Chang can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Aoki controls the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Chang trying to keep a closed guard but Aoki is proving a slippery customer.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aoki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Chang is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Aoki connects with a jab. Aoki decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Chang with the active half guard here but Aoki passes nicely into side control. Chang manages to work his way to half guard, despite Aoki's best efforts. Aoki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chang on the ground. Aoki decides to stand up. Aoki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Aoki wants to control from the top but Chang keeps moving. Aoki throws a big right hand that misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aoki looking to sit in guard and control but Chang gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back. Aoki seems keen to control Chang's posture. Chang slips nicely into half guard. Chang seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Aoki does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Aoki tries to roll over but Chang keeps him under control. Aoki trying to hold on to Chang's head to control him but Chang postures up.
Aoki wants to get back to full guard. Chang uses his free foot to push down on Aoki's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Aoki. Chang avoids the attempt from Aoki to control.

Chang tries to control but Aoki wriggling away. Aoki is desperately trying to improve his position but Chang has a good base and remains in mount. Chang wants to finish this one by submission but Aoki is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Chang. Chang tries to control but Aoki wriggling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Yamoto Aoki overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Chang working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Aoki is squirming around, avoiding Chang's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A nice leg kick lands there from Chang. An inside leg kick lands from Aoki. Chang throws a quick inside leg kick. Aoki takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Nice sprawl there from Chang as Aoki shoots in. Chang cracks the inside of Aoki's front leg. Chang lunges at Aoki with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Aoki's hand. Chang lands a head kick!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chang uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Aoki avoids the head kick by Chang.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Chang! Aoki is out on his feet! Chang rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Aoki is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Aoki is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Saito slips an arm under Kazama chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Saito has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Saito is squeezing on Kazama like an anaconda would it's prey. Kazama fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Lopez scoring with punches and elbows. The strikes coming from Lopez are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Pepinhos can't do much from the bottom here. Lopez working the ground and pound but Pepinhos is defending the strikes. Lopez tries to move to mount but Pepinhos blocks the move with his legs. Pepinhos takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lopez cracks Pepinhos with an elbow. That is naaassty. Pepinhos prevents Lopez from moving into mount. Lopez working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Pepinhos sneaks back into half guard. Lopez is looking to pass Pepinhos's guard but actually Pepinhos recovers to full guard. Lopez with a flurry of punches that miss. Lopez throws a strike but Pepinhos rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pepinhos trying to control the position from guard on top but Lopez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lopez tries to strike from the bottom.
Lopez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pepinhos is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lopez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pepinhos's back instead. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Lopez.
Pepinhos is trying to escape under a series of strikes and manages to escape from Lopez 's hooks. Lopez blocks Pepinhos's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Lopez dominated that fourth round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Pepinhos fails with the takedown and Lopez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pepinhos's guard now. Lopez working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pepinhos's head. Lopez with a flurry of punches that miss. Lopez is in close to Pepinhos's body, working some short punches and elbows. Pepinhos is trying to control the position but Lopez postures up. Lopez trying to control but Pepinhos is working from the bottom. Lopez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Lopez distracts Pepinhos with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Pepinhos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lopez keeps working. Lopez lands a couple of sideways elbows. Lopez wants to improve his position but Pepinhos is controlling well.
Lopez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pepinhos is working away from the top position though. Pepinhos works his way into full mount! Lopez wants to hold on but Pepinhos pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lopez is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Pepinhos has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lopez's face.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pepinhos cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Lopez is in all sorts of trouble here.

Marco Pepinhos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lopez wants to sweep but no luck. Pepinhos stands and throws Lopez's legs to the side, diving into side control. Lopez chipping away with strikes from the bottom.
Lopez is trying to control Pepinhos's posture but Pepinhos avoids it.
And that's the end of the fight! Jay Lopez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Lopez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
