The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marshall tries to clinch up. Canses closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Marshall tries to buck Canses off but Canses is having none of it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Marshall is working hard here to advance position. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bridges clinches up against the cage. Thai with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Bridges Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Thai's back instead. Bridges looking for the choke but no joy. Muay Thai is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Thai wants to stand and escape but Bridges is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Muay Thai comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Thai has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Teixeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Modelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Teixeira might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eu quero ver o oco - Ramundos. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Modelo throws a series of punches but Teixeira moves out of range. Teixeira fails to land the takedown. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Modelo lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Modelo tries to avoid it but Teixeira manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Modelo to the ground. Modelo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A jab lands there for Modelo. Modelo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Teixeira. Modelo scores with a three punch combo!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Modelo lands with a nice body punch. Modelo instigates a clinch. Modelo has had enough of the clinch but Teixeira keeps him there for the moment. Modelo is looking to break free of the clinch but Teixeira has double underhooks. A nice right hand lands inside from Modelo. Modelo prevents Teixeira from breaking the clinch. Modelo throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Teixeiras head. Modelo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Modelo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Teixeira's hands. Modelo moves into the clinch successfully.

Modelo scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Modelo moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A lazy left from Modelo finds it's target. No joy there for Teixeira, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Teixeira. Good exchange - Modelo coming out on top. Modelo scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Teixeira takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A punch lands to the side of Teixeira 's head but he takes it in his stride. Donk. Modelo catches Teixeira right on the button with a cross. Teixeira shoots in and drives through. Modelo sprawls well. Modelo lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Montanna or perhaps it was just good defense by Katama which made him look bad. Katama swats away the attempt to clinch by Montanna. Katama shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Montanna is looking to improve his position but Katama isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Katama throwing strikes here but Montanna is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Montanna tries to lock up and control but Katama gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Montanna squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Katama avoids the attempt from Montanna to control. Montanna might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Katama kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Montanna regains half guard. Montanna is pressing down on Katama's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Montanna tries to land a sweep but no joy. Katama postures up in Montanna's guard and throws a big left but Montanna blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Montanna is trying to control the position but Katama postures up. Katama has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Montanna throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Montanna looks gassed! Montanna is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Katama is looking to work some ground and pound but Montanna has wrist control. Katama lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Katama doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Katama manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Katama stands up over Montanna, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Katama throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Montanna works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Montanna is working an open guard so Katama takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Katama walks away with a smile on his face. Montanna gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Montanna sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Montanna with a lazy takedown attempt so Katama counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Montanna avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Katama is looking to work some ground and pound but Montanna has wrist control. Katama postures up and lands a big shot to Montanna's brow. Katama knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Montanna on the ground. Katama lands a couple of elbows. Katama postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Montanna escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Katama gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Montanna trying to control the position.

Katama decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Montanna, up you get! Montanna shoots and misses and Katama counters with a shoot takedown. Montanna fights it but they end up in guard. Simo Katama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Montanna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Emelianenko stands up out of the half guard. Druida scores with a takedown into Emelianenko 's guard. Emelianenko pulls Druida in close to his closed guard and prevents Druida from doing any damage or advancing position. Emelianenko looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Emelianenko had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Druida is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Emelianenko Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Druida's back instead. Emelianenko knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Druida hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones feints and as Maia raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Maia bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maia is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Maia trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Maia trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Maia manages to get himself to full guard.
Jones is pushing down on Maia's leg trying to pass to half guard. Maia is fighting to maintain full guard but Jones has managed to sneak the leg through.
