 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! jovanovic fails with a takedown attempt from distance. jovanovic looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
 It looks like boban jovanovic has been cut. Butcher throws a jab but it's blocked by jovanovic. Butcher misses with a series of wild punches.

 It looks like Leonardo da Vinci has been cut. Verbukh misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! da Vinci escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Verbukh gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Verbukh wants to get up but he can't break da Vinci's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
 That's one minute gone in the round. da Vinci is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Verbukh wants to get up but he can't break da Vinci's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Garganius utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Garganius wants to sweep here but Fratello controlling him for the moment. Fratello stalling away here and it's allowed Garganius to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Fratello throws a strike but Garganius rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Garganius is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Garganius wanted to stand there but Fratello had control of the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fratello keeping moving, preventing Garganius from controlling successfully. Juskki Garganius has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fratello holds on and takes a little breather.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fredriksson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Anatoly scores with a leg kick.
Anatoly uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fredriksson.
Fredriksson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fredriksson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Fredriksson tries to control but Anatoly wriggling away. Anatoly regains half guard. Ground and pound from Fredriksson. Anatoly blocking the ground and pound attempt from Fredriksson. Fredriksson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Anatoly has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fredriksson is working away from the top position though.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Anatoly might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fredriksson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Fredriksson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Anatoly knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Fredriksson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Anatoly does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Fredriksson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.  It looks like Steve Hawkins has been cut. Beefcake lands a right hook to the body.
Hawkins looks gassed! Beefcake swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Even Steven! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steven fails to land the takedown. Steven closes the distance and clinches up with Bip, looking for a takedown. Steven pushes Bip against the cage but Bip circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bip throws a right and a left that both miss. Bip lands a body shot.
Steven looks gassed! Steven fails to land the takedown. Bip Bip has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Even Steven. Bip scores with a shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nice combo by Bip! Oh, that's hurt him - Steven falls to the canvas and Bip follows him into side control.
 It looks like Even Steven has been cut. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Bip has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Bip decides to take the fight back to the feet. Bip works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Bip feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Steven sprawling to the canvas! Steven rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bip finish him?!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bip drops Steven with a huge uppercut! Steven drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Bip is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
