The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones scores with a punch to the head. Jones keeps the fight on the outside. Mitsauma shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense. Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
Mitsauma tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Mitsauma throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily. Mitsauma throws a head kick that misses. Jones lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Mitsauma falls backwards - clearly groggy! Jones dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fagundes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Denmark looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Fagundes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Denmark swivels and escapes. Fagundes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Thomas Denmark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Fagundes. Denmark with a lazy takedown attempt and Fagundes counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Fagundes seems to be working for a kimura but Denmark defends the submission attempt. Fagundes passes to side control. Fagundes is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Denmark is trying to escape and Fagundes transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Denmark is forced to tap! Nice work there by Fagundes! Very nice indeed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Byson sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Silva fails to land with a series of punches.
Silva shoots in but no luck this time. Silva takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Byson staying out of range there. Silva looks for a takedown but Byson sprawls well. Mike Byson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Silva. Silva misses with a two punch combination.
Byson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Thiago Silva has been cut. Silva tries for a takedown but Byson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A punch combination from Byson misses. Byson works over Silva's head and body with a nice combination. Silva looks gassed! Silva swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Byson counter with a right hand. Silva falls off balance throwing a combination
and Byson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Silva on the wrong end of a nice hook. Byson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Byson tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Byson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Silva showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Byson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva takes a shot right to the bread basket. Byson misses with a few strikes there.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A punch combination from Byson misses. Byson stuffs the takedown. Byson thuds a left hand into Silva's body. Silva walks into a jab. Byson jabs at Silva's body. Silva shoots for a takedown but Byson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Silva takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Silva slips a jab and a cross from Byson.
Byson lands with a nice combination. Silva backs away looking to recover. Byson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Thiago Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Byson misses with the combination.
Byson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Byson displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Silva is rocked! Byson connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Silva tumbling to the canvas! Byson pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Silva was done - good stoppage!

Oh, that's a big right hand from Hawking and Taylor goes tumbling to the canvas! Hawking follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Hawking scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Taylor seems to have recovered his senses. Hawking lands an uppercut, right on the button! Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Perbichi misses with the body kick and Diehard counters with a shoot takedown. Perbichi fights it but they end up in guard. Diehard trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Diehard trying to control the position from guard on top but Perbichi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Diehard drops back looking for a leg! Perbichi is in trouble here! That's three minutes gone in the round. Perbichi wants to stand and escape but Diehard is having none of it. Diehard with a flurry of punches that miss. Diehard postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Perbichi is trying to keep Diehard in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Perbichi moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Diehard has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Perbichi finds it's way round the side to connect with Diehard's head. Diehard slips a jab from Perbichi. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Diehard is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Perbichi has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Diehard's face.
Perbichi avoids the attempt from Diehard to control. Perbichi looking to control but Diehard is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Diehard is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Diehard keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Julio Cesar Perbichi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Perbichi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Diehard. Perbichi throws a series of punches but Diehard moves out of range. Perbichi misses with a takedown attempt and Diehard counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Perbichi! Diehard goes for an armbar but Perbichi turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Perbichi. Steve Diehard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Perbichi is looking to stand up but Diehard won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diehard keeping moving, preventing Perbichi from controlling successfully. Diehard isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Perbichi stacks Diehard on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Perbichi! Diehard is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diehard looking for a sweep but Perbichi has passed into full mount! Oh no! Perbichi looking to control and managing it successfully. Perbichi avoids the attempt from Diehard to control. Perbichi wants to control the pace but Diehard is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Perbichi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Perbichi trying to control but Diehard is having none of it. Diehard tries to hold on but Perbichi pushes him away. Diehard throwing hammer fists to the chest of Perbichi. What's that going to do exactly? Perbichi controlling his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Steve Diehard. I think Diehard has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
