The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grapple changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chun looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Grapple trying to control the action but Chun is working from the bottom.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Chun manages to get back to half guard.
Chun tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Chun looking to hit a scissor sweep but Grapple is one step ahead there.

Chun working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grapple doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grapple manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Maeda is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nabonaga sends Maeda crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Nabonaga is motioning to the referee to let Maeda up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Takeya Maeda has been cut.
Nabonaga thows a body shot but no joy.
Nabonaga throws a solid leg kick but Maeda takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Nabonaga.

Morisawa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ieyasu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Morisawa manages to avoid it.

Shinji Morisawa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Takeshi has chosen On The Dub-ble as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeshi shoots in looking for a takedown. Pesso tries to sprawl out of it but Takeshi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Pesso manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Takeshi lands with a straight right. Pesso didn't see that one coming.
Pesso fails with an attempt to clinch.
Takeshi drops Pesso with a big left hand and mounts him. Pesso is in big trouble!

It looks like Juhamatti Pesso has been cut.
Takeshi wants to control the pace but Pesso is squirming around nicely.
