The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis drives through with a takedown into guard. Davis throws and elbow that misses. Nogueira uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Davis's guard. Nice move by Nogueira! Nogueira throwing strikes from guard but Davis blocks nicely. Nogueira decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Davis, up you get! Nogueira shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nogueira showed some decent athleticism there. Davis wants to improve his position but Nogueira is controlling well.
Davis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nogueira on the ground. Nogueira drops an elbow to the side of Davis's head. Davis wants to get back to full guard. Davis tries to close the distance and clinch but Nogueira swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nogueira tries for a takedown but Davis circles away easily and Davis counters with a takedown into side control. Nogueira manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Nogueira should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Nogueira has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Davis is working away from the top position though. Nogueira has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Nogueira gets back to full guard.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nogueira scores with a sloppy right hand. Davis should have avoided that one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nogueira shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Davis tries to reverse the position but Nogueira maintains control. Nogueira with shots to the head and body - Davis looks very uncomfortable down there. Nogueira controlling his opponent. Davis scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Brandon Davis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Nogueira is trying to control but can't.
Nogueira makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nogueira. Davis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Davis scoring with punches to the head and body. Davis makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Davis chips away with some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davis wants to control from the top but Nogueira keeps moving. Nogueira seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Davis wants to pass the guard but Nogueira is keeping the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Davis is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Nogueira gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Davis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Nogueira has him pressed against the cage. Nogueira wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Davis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nogueira swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nogueira throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Nogueira tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Davis shoots in and bounces Nogueira off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Nogueira keeping full guard, as Davis tries to pass. Davis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Davis scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Davis seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Davis wants to free his trapped foot but Nogueira is holding on for dear life with his legs.

He's pushed Bilski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bilski closes this distance looking for a takedown but Toni circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Bilski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bilski will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Morel throws a lazy right hand but Van Rijn sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A telegraphed right hand from Morel misses the target. Morel misses with a hook. Van Rijn ducked under it nicely. Morel jabbing away but nothing is landing. Van Rijn gets a clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mike Van Rijn seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Van Rijn lands an elbow just above Morel 's eye. Nice body punch from Van Rijn - that landed with a thud.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Adams. No joy for Taavola on that attempt. Nice sprawl there from Adams as Taavola shoots in. Taavola throws a hook but Adams blocks it. Adams fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Taavola scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Taavola not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Taavola prevents Adams from improving his position. Taavola content to control rather than advance. Taavola working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Adams looks to clinch and Taavola counters with a nice double leg into guard. Taavola might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jax Taavola is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Adams fails in his attempt to clinch. Adams decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Adams passes the guard and advances to mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Adams tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Adams takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Adams landing strikes from the mount. A nice elbow there by Adams. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson throws a looping overhand right but Ubarana ducks down to avoid it. Jackson looks to land a left hand but Ubarana moved out of range nicely. Ubarana ducks under a wild hook from Jackson. Jackson loads up on a big right hand but Ubarana slips the punch. Ubarana goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Jackson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ubarana defending well as Jackson loads up on a big left hand. Ubarana gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Jackson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ubarana prevents it.
Jackson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Ubarana wants the takedown. Jackson is fighting it off but Ubarana persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jackson's guard against the cage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bender is fending him off so far but Ovachevich persists. Nope, Bender circles away and we're back to standing. Bender cracks Ovachevich with an uppercut from hell and Ovachevich crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Bender's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
It looks like Branco Ovachevich has been cut. Bender tries to stand but Ovachevich is controlling from the bottom. Bender throwing strikes but missing. Bender gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ovachevich shoots in and drives through. Bender sprawls well. Bender shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Ovachevich takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Bender sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Ovachevich bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out!
