The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mendez gets a clinch.
Brice wants a takedown but no success here.
Mendez tries to stall but Brice uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Mendez tries to score a body lock takedown but Brice shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Brice goes for a takedown attempt but Mendez pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Mendez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mendez lands a right hook to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mendez.
Mendez misses with a few strikes there.

Brice bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Brice is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Mendez has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Mendez swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Hart.

Hart is trying to get an arm triangle but Flynn is defending well.
Flynn manages to get back to half guard.

Hart is working for a submission of some sort.

Hart is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Flynn doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hart.

Flynn kicks Hart off and gets back to his feet.

Hart shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Flynn manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Flynn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
It looks like Flynn is going to stand back up.

Flynn seems to be working for a kimura but Hart defends the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Hart takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Flynn goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Flynn rushes Hart and presses him up against the cage.
Flynn's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Flynn gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hart.

Flynn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Flynn shoots in looking for a takedown. Hart tries to sprawl out of it but Flynn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hart manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Flynn throws a combination. Hart tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Flynn stalks Hart and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hart's face. Hart staggers backwards, shaken.
Hart throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Flynn's waist but Flynn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hart off to one side.
Flynn lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Flynn feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hart's calf.
Flynn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Flynn thuds his shin into the meat of Hart's side.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hart takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hart tries for a takedown but Flynn sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Flynn closes the distance and clinches up with Hart, looking for a takedown. Flynn pushes Hart against the cage but Hart circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Hart rolls with it to try and escape but Flynn cranks on the arm and Hart is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
