The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tomi tries to clinch up but Zenin circles away and keeps his distance. Tomi misses with a kick to the body.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Tomi. Tomi dives in and grabs Zenin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zenin pushes down on Tomi's head and hops out. Zenin leaves Tomi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Good shot there by Zenin. Zenin misses with a body shot.
Tomi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zenin paws at him with a jab and circles away. Zenin swats away the attempt to clinch by Tomi. Tomi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Zenin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tomi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Vladimir Zenin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akio Tomi. Zenin checks a leg kick. No luck for Tomi with that takedown attempt. Zenin takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Zenin moves out of range of the leg kick from Tomi. Zenin lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tomi backs up against the cage.
A leg kick checked by Zenin. Zenin connects with a right hand. Tomi shakes it off. Tomi tries to clinch up but Zenin circles away and keeps his distance. Zenin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Tomi looks gassed! Tomi avoids the body shot from Zenin.
Tomi tries to close the distance and clinch but Zenin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Zenin tests Tomi's chin there with a solid looking shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zenin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Decent striking displayed by Zenin there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zenin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tomi at a distance.
Tomi is trying desperately to land a takedown but Zenin is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Tomi. Zenin slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Zenin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Jab, jab by Zenin - just one landing. Tomi gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Akio Tomi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zenin throws a series of strikes that have Tomi backpedaling.
Tomi is rocked! Tomi takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Tomi is still on wobbly legs! Can Zenin finish him? Zenin scores with a nice strike. Lamfada pushes off an throws an elbow but Coleman leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Coleman tries to circle away but Lamfada has him pinned against the cage. Lamfada tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lono defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gnocci. Lono will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lono scores with a punch to the head. Lono throws a nice looking combination but Gnocci bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Gnocci drops his hands momentarily and Lono takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Lono has taken the fight to the clinch.

Lono stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Gnocci keeps control of Lono as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Both guys are working to get underhooks.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slash looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Slash avoids a kick to the body.
MonRoe is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Slash. MonRoe cracks Slash with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Slash uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by MonRoe.
MonRoe throws a right and a left that Slash avoids nicely. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slash is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches MonRoe flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! MonRoe is out cold! Slash holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Power is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Power throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A slapping leg kick lands for CD.

Power throws a leg kick and CD counters with a good, hard body kick but Power shrugs it off. CD lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Keep your fist closed son. CD throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Power on the side of the head. Power throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
CD moves out of range of the strikes. Power lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Noah CD dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

CD looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A swing and a miss from Power. Left hook, right uppercut from Power. CD tries to clinch but Power moves out of range. CD chopping away at his opponent's legs.

CD tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Power paws at him with a jab and circles away. A left lands for CD.

P I shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wood manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Wood really doesn't want to stay on the ground with P I. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wood keeping moving, preventing P I from controlling successfully.

That was a close second round but I would say that Magnum P I will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Wood thows a left - swing and a miss! Wood with a body punch. A glancing blow. Wood throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. P I throws a one two combo.
Wood slaps away a takedown attempt from P I, before circling back to the center of the mat. Wood shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Wood throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. P I misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

P I thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. P I tries to move into full mount but can't pass Wood's legs.

Wood knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Wood prevents P I from moving into mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close third round but Thor Wood just about did enough to take it. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! You can see the frustration on Wood's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. P I tries for an arm triangle. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. P I looks to score with a jab to the body but Wood is just out of range. P I connects with a slap. P I tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wood sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten P I somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Magnum P I. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Nice takedown defense from Wood. No joy for P I on that attempt. P I takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Wood throws the left hand but P I avoids the punch easily. P I stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Wood. Thor Wood is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. P I tries to advance to mount but can't. P I trying to control the position but Wood is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wood defending against the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Thor Wood comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Wood has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
