The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hytthu shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Franklin as he jumps to the side.

Franklin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Franklin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hytthu is just riding it out for now. Franklin eventually gives up the hold.

It looks like Hammer Handy has been cut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Handy throws a series of punches but Krieger avoids them all with ease.

Krieger feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sanchez shoots for a takedown but Chapelle saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sanchez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Sanchez is looking to clinch but Chapelle is avoiding it.
Chapelle cracks Sanchez with an uppercut from hell and Sanchez crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Chapelle's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Sanchez is rocked!

It looks like Radamen Sanchez has been cut.
Chapelle's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Oh Sanchez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Chapelle decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Sanchez stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Chapelle.
