The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone shoots in for a double leg but Van Staaden sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A solid leg kick lands there for Stone.
Van Staaden misses the shot to the body. Van Staaden throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Van Staaden avoids a punch combination nicely.
Van Staaden keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Stone misses with a body kick. Van Staaden thuds a left hand into Stone's body. Van Staaden will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Stone moves in looking to clinch but Van Staaden pushes him off. Van Staaden takes a swing at Stone's ribcage but misses. Stone shoots for a double leg takedown but Van Staaden sprawls well. He's pushed Stone's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A nice combination there by Van Staaden.

Van Staaden is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Stone rather than just go for the knockout. Van Staaden moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Van Staaden lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Stone looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Van Staaden swinging wilding here.

Stone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Van Staaden tries to avoid it but Stone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Van Staaden to the ground. Van Staaden escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gregor Stone. That's going to take a lot out of him. Van Staaden scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Van Staaden misses with a series of wild punches.

Van Staaden scores with the left hand. Stone knows he should have avoided that one. Stone is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Van Staaden is working the combinations to good effect here. A shot to de liver by Van Staaden. Beautiful body shot. Van Staaden throws a right and a left that both miss. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Van Staaden looks to land a combination but Stone avoids it well. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stone. Gregor Stone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Van Staaden works Stone's body with a nice hook.

McIntyre shoots and misses and Slice counters with a nice double leg into side control. McIntyre won't be happy with that. Slice in the domination position with McIntyre hanging on. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. McIntyre is trying to get back to half guard. McIntyre is breathing heavily. McIntyre sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McIntyre is staying active underneath Slice, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andrews feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. solid working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Andrews doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Andrews manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Robert Tkacz seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Marcurius. Marcurius goes for a takedown attempt but Tkacz pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Marcurius throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tkacz's waist but Tkacz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marcurius off to one side. Tkacz has closed the distance and engaged Marcurius in a clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stuckler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Justus lands with a right hand. Justus gets the takedown into side control. Stuckler wants to get back to his feet. Justus goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Stuckler has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Justus but great work by Stuckler. Stuckler gets to mount! Justus was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Justus is squirming around, avoiding Stuckler's attempts to control the action. Stuckler unloading with bombs! Justus is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Stuckler is landing with some decent strikes but Justus is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Justus is trying to escape the mount.

Stuckler wants to finish this one by submission but Justus is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Stuckler. Justus is trying to stand up. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Stuckler looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Stuckler landing strikes from the mount. Justus is trying to maintain the position but Stuckler is very close to passing his half guard. Justus tries to get to full guard but Stuckler has control of the leg. Stuckler controlling the pace. Stuckler is thwarting Justus's attempts to control the position. Justus is looking to improve his position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Justus swats away the attempt to clinch by Stuckler. Stuckler looking to land some kicks to the body here.

McDermot cracks Hameed with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Hameed falls to his knees and McDermot doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
