Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenji Ramen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adelphos Hondros! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hondros shoots in and drives through. Ramen sprawls well. Hondros moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Ramen fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ramen is looking to clinch but Hondros is avoiding it.
Adelphos Hondros seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ramen tries to clinch there but Hondros circles away.
Hondros tries to clinch and Ramen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ramen. Ramen tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Ramen manages to break the clinch.
Ramen moves in looking to clinch but Hondros pushes him off. Hondros clinches. Hondros lands with a short head shot on the inside. Hondros lands with a short head shot on the inside. Ramen trying to land knees to the body.

Hondros goes for a takedown attempt but Ramen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

A short uppercut from Hondros. Ramen tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Hondros lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Hondros tries to pass to full mount but Ramen defends it. Ramen keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Hondros is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ramen is just riding it out for now. Hondros eventually gives up the hold. Ramen tries to kick Hondros off but Hondros keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ramen is trying to maintain the position but Hondros is very close to passing his half guard. Ramen controlling the position well. Ramen gets full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramen is looking to stand up but Hondros isn't so interested in that idea. Hondros lands a couple of digs. Hondros wanted to stand there but Ramen had control of the position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Ramen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hondros throwing strikes but missing. Hondros wants to stand but Ramen has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Hondros gets to his feet. Ramen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Hondros looks gassed! Hondros goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hondros shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kenji Ramen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adelphos Hondros. Ramen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hondros swivels and escapes. Hondros misses with a two punch combination.

Hondros pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ramen misses with an uppercut. Hondros tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Ramen counters by clinching up. Ramen lands a shoulder strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hondros lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ramen backwards. Hondros takes a knee right on the jaw!

Hondros keeps the fight on the outside. Ramen tries to clinch up. Hondros tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ramen counters by clinching up. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Hondros scores with a nice hook to the head. Ramen misses with a hook from the clinch. Ramen tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Hondros presses Ramen against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot. With the fighters up against the ropes, Ramen throws an elbow but misses. Ramen misses with an elbow over the top. Hondros blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Ramen can't break the clinch.

Ramen is pressed up against the ropes. Hondros has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ramen down to the mat. Ramen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adelphos Hondros dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hondros closes the distance looking to clinch and Ramen counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ramen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Ramen tries to clinch but Hondros is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hondros is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hondros is breathing heavily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Hondros. Ramen is trying to buck Hondros off.

Hondros wants to work for an arm triangle but Ramen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hondros is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ramen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hondros. Ramen tries to roll over but Hondros keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ramen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Ramen is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ramen is pulling down on Hondros's head. It's preventing any offense from Hondros, at least for the moment. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Ramen looking to control.
Hondros is looking to work some ground and pound but Ramen has wrist control. Ramen is pulling down on Hondros's head. It's preventing any offense from Hondros, at least for the moment. Hondros postures up in Ramen's guard and throws a big left but Ramen blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ramen is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Hondros is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ramen scores with a couple of nice shots. Ramen seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Hondros is trying to get back to full guard. Ramen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Hondros pushes Ramen off looking to stand but Ramen dives back in and keeps control.
Ramen working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Hondros is trying to maintain the position but Ramen is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ramen looks to land a combination. Hondros sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Hondros tries to clinch and Ramen counters by moving into the clinch. Ramen manages to break the clinch.
Hondros darts in trying to clinch and Ramen counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Hondros keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hondros darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ramen is trying to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Kenji Ramen will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Ramen tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hondros is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Hondros with a couple of short strikes. Ramen is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hondros stands up from mount. Strange move. Hondros shoots in and drives through. Ramen sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ramen is looking to clinch. Ramen moves into range and clinches up with Hondros. Hondros lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Ramen throws a knee to the head but misses.
Hondros is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though. Kenji Ramen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adelphos Hondros. Hondros fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Hondros has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ramen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Ramen breaks from the clinch.
Ramen lands a nice hook to Hondros's body. Hondros takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Hondros shoots in but no luck this time. Ramen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Hondros paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hondros wants to clinch and Ramen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Ramen looking to throw knees to the head but Hondros is blocking nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Maybe Ramen would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much. Ramen tries to work over Hondros's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Hondros works on Ramen's body with a couple of short punches. Hondros has Ramen pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hondros pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ramen tumbling to the mat - Hondros dives into Ramen's guard. Hondros thows a big elbow that misses. Hondros tries to stand but Ramen is controlling from the bottom. Hondros stands and steps away. Ramen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Ramen closes the distance but Hondros moves to the side and Hondros counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hondros. Hondros tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ramen's elbow. Ramen misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hondros.

Hondros lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Ramen misses with a short punch on the inside. Ramen gets underhooks to prevent Hondros's takedown attempt.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Hondros has his foot on Ramen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ramen works his way back into a safe position though. Hondros is trying to control the position but Ramen postures up. Hondros striking off his back but it's not causing Ramen any problems. Ramen stands up from Hondros's guard - Ramen perhaps looking for a knockout. Hondros looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Adelphos Hondros. I think Hondros has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The ref rips Calvacanti off and cradles Danchez's limp body as Calvacanti celebrates with his corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Costa moves out of range of the body kick. Gangrena's corner calls for a 1-2. Gangrena obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Costa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gangrena's waist but Gangrena gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Costa off to one side. Gangrena drives through and clinches with Costa against the ropes.

Marcurius looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Blubber tries to buck Marcurius off but Marcurius is having none of it.
