The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fred gets caught flat footed, as Marlov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Marlov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Marlov landing with the ground and pound. Marlov scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Marlov cracks Fred with a solid left hand. Fred preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Marlov is looking to work some ground and pound but Fred has wrist control. Fred is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Marlov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Fred being controlled here, momentarily. Marlov with a flurry of punches that miss.

A shot to the body from Konstantinov misses and Hasslehoff counters by moving into the clinch. Konstantinov is trying to force a seperation but Hasslehoff has the dominant position. Konstantinov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Konstantinov trying to control the position but instead, Hasslehoff has worked for underhooks and has pushed Konstantinov into the cage. Hasslehoff jumps guard but Konstantinov stands there with Hasslehoff around his waist. Hasslehoff gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Frost tries to circle away but Gaillard has him pinned against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Gaillard's face as he tries to break the clinch. Frost has had enough of the clinch but Gaillard keeps him there for the moment. Gaillard tries to score a body lock takedown but Frost shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Frost wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
