1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Michaels! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Michaels changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Key looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Michaels is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Key has escaped the position, nice work there. Michaels looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Michaels tries to move to mount but Key blocks the move with his legs. Michaels misses with the ground and pound. Key tries to buck Michaels off but Michaels is having none of it. Michaels tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Michaels tries to move into full mount but can't pass Key's legs. Michaels tries for a kimura but Key is defending well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Key misses with a takedown and Michaels counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Michaels lands a body shot in the clinch.

Michaels doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Michaels manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Key is breathing heavily. Michaels works a leg free and moves into half guard. Key controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Michaels has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Michaels shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Key counters with a good, hard body kick but Michaels shrugs it off. Michaels fails with the takedown. Key bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Michaels is looking to regain half guard here but Key keeps moving and retains side control. Michaels takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Key controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Michaels looking for a guillotine here but Key defends easily.

Mon Key has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Max Michaels is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Michaels looking for a sweep but Key has passed into full mount! Oh no! Key cracks Michaels with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mon Key. I think Michaels has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morthens closes the distance and clinches up with Rood, looking for a takedown. Morthens pushes Rood against the cage but Rood circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rood fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Morthens manages to avoid it. Brad Rood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rood tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rood throws a big shot that misses. Rood swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rood gets caught flat footed, as Morthens shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Morthens drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rood dives on top into guard. Morthens not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rood working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Morthens's head. Morthens controls Rood momentarily but Rood frees himself. Rood postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Rood preventing the sweep. Rood postures up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Morthens is on top in guard.

Rood chips away with some ground and pound. Rood trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Rood working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Rood content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Morthens looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rood is one step ahead there. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rood's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Rood passes Morthens's left leg - he's now in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rood is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Rood is in close to Morthens's body, working some short punches and elbows. Rood is working Morthens over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Morthens looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Morthens is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Rood controlling the action here. Let's hope that Rood has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Bubbi Morthens has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Morthens has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rood is working away from the top position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Brad Rood comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rood has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Kausch feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kausch trying to control but Zulas is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kausch pushing down on Zulas's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Kausch seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knox dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Silver. That did some damage! Knox misses with a low kick. Silver slips a straight right by Knox. Knox lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
It looks like Eyam Silver has been cut. Some wild striking there from Knox.
Knox tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Silver is able to avoid easily. Silver stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Knox. Knox slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Silver fails with a takedown attempt. Silver shoots in but no luck this time.
