1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jefferson Lancelot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bubbi Morthens! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Alyssa Summers and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lancelot rushes Morthens and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Morthens jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lancelot walks away with a smile on his face. Morthens gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Lancelot closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Morthens is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lancelot is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Morthens doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lancelot. Morthens wants to control but Lancelot is keeping busy and won't allow it. Morthens might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lancelot kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Lancelot wants to stand but Morthens has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Lancelot is working for a submission of some sort.

Morthens missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Lancelot knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Morthens on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Morthens drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Morthens sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Lancelot is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Morthens got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lancelot has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Morthens has managed to get both his arms back between Lancelot's legs - danger averted. Morthens wants to control from the top but Lancelot keeps moving.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Key misses with a body shot.
Key shoots for a double leg takedown but Eldridge sprawls well. He's pushed Key's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Eldridge keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Eldridge tries to clinch there but Key circles away.
Eldridge leaves Key with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mon Key. That's going to take a lot out of him. Excellent takedown into side control there by Eldridge. Key is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Eldridge's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Eldridge thows an elbow strike that misses. Key gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Eldridge doesn't seem too bothered but Key quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Eldridge is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Eldridge really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.

Vaughn is positioning himself well to prevent Adam advancing to mount. Adam really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vaughn. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeMora tries to bum rush Meite with a series of wild strikes but Meite uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Meite bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. DeMora is looking for a sweep. Meite remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. DeMora can't do much from the bottom here. Meite tries for a kimura but DeMora is defending well. Meite lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear DeMora down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on DeMora's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phillips keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
