Undercard bout

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kody Corley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Slaughter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Corley might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Young Jeezy Ft. Akon-Soul Survivor. Kody Corley looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slaughter shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Corley napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Corley tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Slaughter wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Slaughter swings around for an armbar but Corley sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Slaughter's guard.

Chapron tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Goodrich throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Chapron stuffs the takedown.
Chapron lands a head kick. Goodrich smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Chapron sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Goodrich to the ground! Chapron dives into full mount looking to finish!

It looks like Demarco Goodrich has been cut.

Goodrich is still in real trouble! Can Chapron finish him?
Chapron tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Goodrich seems to have recovered his senses.
Chapron's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Chapron throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters circle momentarily. Goodrich darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Chapron here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Goodrich misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Goodrich throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chapron's waist but Chapron gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Goodrich off to one side.
