Freeman decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Freeman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sterling's guard.
Freeman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sterling manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Freeman has Sterling in his guard.

Freeman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cole connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rush . Rush circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Cole lands a left and a right that sends Rush crashing to the canvas! Cole dives into mount looking to finish!
Oh Rush is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
