 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ortiz's guard. Ortiz working a defensive guard here.
St Pierre drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and St Pierre jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. St Pierre trying to control the position from guard on top but Ortiz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. St Pierre connects with a nice short shot to Ortiz's temple.

Ortiz has left one of his arms exposed and St Pierre doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Ortiz screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sousa's guard. Sousa wants to improve his position but valaquez is controlling well.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kisaragi looks to land a combination but Edwards avoids it well. Kisaragi thumps Edwards with a low kick. Edwards takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
