The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilkinson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Penn swivels and escapes.
Wilkinson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Penn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wilkinson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Penn is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Wilkinson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Penn has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Wilkinson but great work by Penn.

Wilkinson bounces back off the cage towards Penn, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Penn lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Penn celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
