Lao comes into the arena with Drowning Pool - Let The Bodies Hit The Floor blaring out of the sound system. Evans comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ready For Some Aksion kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Evans defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lao.

Lao feints and as Evans raises his hands in defense, Lao changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Evans pushes Lao off and gets back to his feet.
Lao gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Evans.
Evans throws a jab when Lao was well out of range.
Evans bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Lao! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
It looks like Johnnie Lao has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Evans cracks Lao with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Lao looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Evans finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lao shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Evans as he avoids it easily.

The fighters circling - Evans throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Evans might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Evans lands a glancing blow to the side of Lao's head.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Lao closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
