Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnnie Lao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rashad Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lao comes into the arena with Drowning Pool - Let The Bodies Hit The Floor blaring out of the sound system. Evans comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ready For Some Aksion kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lao.
Lao staying out of range there.

Lao feints and as Evans raises his hands in defense, Lao changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Evans pushes Lao off and gets back to his feet.
Lao gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Evans.
Evans throws a jab when Lao was well out of range.
Evans bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Lao! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

It looks like Johnnie Lao has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Evans stands up and waves to Lao to follow him.

Lao ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Evans slaps away a takedown attempt from Lao, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Lao dives in and grabs Evans's left leg, looking for a takedown. Evans pushes down on Lao's head and hops out.
Evans misses with a wild body shot.

Evans throws out a loose jab but Lao uses good head movement to avoid it.

Lao takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Evans swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lao slips a straight right by Evans.
Evans cracks Lao with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Lao looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Evans finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lao shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Evans as he avoids it easily.
Evans throws a big shot that misses.

Lao keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Evans.
Lao avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The fighters circling - Evans throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Evans might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Evans lands a glancing blow to the side of Lao's head.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Lao closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Are you kidding me?! Evans ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Lao clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

Easter is looking to defend but Fedotov has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Easter! Fedotov pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Easter taps out and this one is all over!

Ribeiro stalks Maurice and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Maurice's face. Maurice staggers backwards, shaken.
Maurice takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ribeiro misses with a looping left.
Maurice slips a jab from Ribeiro.
Ribeiro with a hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ribeiro stuffs the takedown.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kosh has his foot on Dummy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dummy works his way back into a safe position though.

Kosh had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Dummy is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kosh Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Dummy's back instead.
Dummy breaks Kosh's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
