0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sho Nuff! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Steve Montenegro and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kalwa checks a low kick from Nuff. Nuff thows a body shot but no joy. Kalwa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nuff bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Nuff throws a solid leg kick but Kalwa takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Nuff. A slapping leg kick lands for Nuff.
Nuff avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kalwa feints and as Nuff raises his hands in defense, Kalwa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Nuff keeping moving, preventing Kalwa from controlling successfully. Kalwa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Nuff working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kalwa. Kalwa wants to pass the guard but Nuff is keeping the position. Kalwa scores with a decent looking elbow strike. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nuff can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kalwa trying to move into half guard but instead Nuff has managed to sweep! Nuff wants to stand but Kalwa has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Kalwa wants to control but Nuff passes easily into half guard.
Kalwa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nuff on the ground. Kalwa is breathing heavily. Nuff decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Nuff connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Jab by Kalwa.
It looks like Sho Nuff has been cut. A big right from Kalwa misses. Nuff scores with a push kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Good leg kick by Nuff there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nuff scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Sho Nuff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nuff lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Nuff connects with a solid leg kick. Nuff thuds his shin into the meat of Kalwa's side. Nuff connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Kalwa takes a kick to the side of the head. Nice body kick from Nuff. Nuff forces Kalwa back against the cage and clinches. Kalwa is looking to control Nuff's arms but Nuff gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kalwa has his back to the cage. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Nuff just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kalwa's brow. Kalwa doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Kalwa is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Nuff comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Nuff lands a nice elbow. Kalwa has Nuff pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nuff manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A knee to the head by Nuff.
Nuff lands an elbow just above Kalwa 's eye. Kalwa will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Kalwa tries to pull guard but Nuff holds him up against the cage and eventually Kalwa drops back down to his feet.

Kalwa looks to land a combination but Nuff avoids it well. Nuff throws a front kick that sends Kalwa stumbling back into the cage. Nuff slips a jab and a cross from Kalwa.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Furlong is defended easily by Wesson. Furlong closes the distance and clinches up with Wesson, looking for a takedown. Furlong pushes Wesson against the cage but Wesson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Furlong. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wesson lands with a cross. Furlong takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wesson feints and then cracks Furlong's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Furlong down. This has been an exciting period of action! Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Wesson throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Furlong is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones drops Cain with a nice combination! Jones dives into Cain's guard, looking to finish!
Cain is rocked! Cain is working an open guard so Jones takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. A lazy left from Jones finds it's target. Oh Cain is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cain drops his hands momentarily. Jones doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Cain staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Cain doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Holliday lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

He's now on top, in his opponent's guard. Justice trying to control the position from guard on top but Holliday is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Holliday keeping full guard, as Justice tries to pass.

It's preventing any offense from Humungus, at least for the moment. Humungus slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
