Undercard bout

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aljo Stajerski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stajerski kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is ACAB. Aljo Stajerski has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stajerski feints and as Richards raises his hands in defense, Stajerski changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Richards had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Stajerski is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Richards Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Stajerski's back instead.

Pena changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. O Flanigan tries to avoid it but Pena manages to keep hold of a leg and drag O Flanigan to the ground. O Flanigan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Pena throws a lazy right hand but O Flanigan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pena shoots in looking for a takedown. O Flanigan tries to sprawl out of it but Pena keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. O Flanigan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Walter O Flanigan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pentti Pena.

Pena shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in O Flanigan's guard.
